It was our first time trying Shyun and we were seriously impressed, the flavours were so bold and rich, even the noodles alone were packed with savoury goodness. So satisfying with every slurp!nnFEATURED:n Takoyaki [$8.50]n Chicken Gyoza [$8]n Tokyo Ramen light soy broth [$18.50]n Chashu Pork Ramen [$20.50]n Matcha Softserve [$3.50]nnWe also got the takoyaki and dumplings – both were juicy on the inside with that perfect golden crisp on the outside. Even after we finished our ramen, the takoyaki was still warm, which made it even better on a chilly night. So good!nnEven though there was a short wait for a table — just 10 minutes on a busy night — the food came out super fast! I also had no idea there was extra seating all the way at the back, and it’s actually way better than the front
It’s been a while since I last had Shyun, and it still tastes just as amazing as I remember!nBack when I first arrived in Australia, their Chadstone store was my go-to. I loved their set meals – a little bit of everything, perfectly portioned and super satisfying.nnLately, I had a big craving for udon, and I suddenly remembered the Chadstone shop had closed. So I headed over to their Carnegie location not too far, and it was totally worth it.nnWe went during peak time and the place was buzzing. I ordered the udon and my friend had the char siu ramen – both were so good! The udon was perfectly cooked with just the right chewiness, and came with a generous heap of tender beef slices. On a cold Melbourne day, it really hit the spot.nAnd of course, I couldn’t leave without my all-time favourite: the matcha latte with matcha ice cream on top – their signature! I used to get it every time, and it’s still just as good.nnI also noticed they’ve opened a new shop just down the street – can’t wait to check it out next time!
What a special place this is!nMy wife and I returned twice during our stay in Melbourne. Everything we ate was wonderful. Great atmosphere, lovely staff. We couldn't recommend taking the time out to visit this restaurant more!nI highly recommend the matcha drinks! They are the best I've had.
We have been a few times and we are never disappointed. The Ramen is very delicious, served hot and full of flavour.nIt gets very busy in the evenings, I’m not sure that they take bookings so expect to wait if you go for dinner.
