Yum! I absolutely enjoyed this meal! The steak was perfect, the chips were perfect, the sauces were delightful and the portion was spot on! The atmosphere was fantastic outside and on Tuesdays there is trivia to enjoy with a team. Overall very nice spot to check out and have a great time with your mates.
Enjoyed our meal over new year. Crumbed steak very tender and thai beef, even though the beef was a little chewy, salad and flavours were great. Very friendly and efficient service. Took some guests back a second time and they gave a big tick as well.
Just got served by a blond haired lady with black rimmed glasses. Can honestly say that her service would have to be worst I have ever received in any kind of hospitality environment. Having over 20yrs experience in the hospitality industry myself, I'm surprised that kind of service still exists. Very poor experience for a first time patron. Being hospitable is the key of hospitality, she is severely lacking in it.
Made this my goto pub during a 5 day visit. A good choice of 10 beers on tap. Typical pub food menu at reasonable prices. Live music on weekends. Service always impeccable.
Superb service. The manager on duty when we went for lunch could teach a class on customer service! He was great. Meals were good too
A nice variety of beers on tap, friendly staff, good choice of food at reasonable prices. Well worth the visit when in Yeppoon.
The Historical Railway Hotel Yeppoon. There are several aspects to this hotel. The main front bar facing Arthur street has an external, raised and sheltered, verandah overlooking a pedestrian walkway. The seating is comprised of a long slab table and stools very popular with locals & tradies who can enjoy a cool drink in the afternoon shade. Bikers are welcome. The second bar facing James Street is located in a spacious eating area divided in two. One in the immediate vicinity of the bar, comprised of comfortable bench & stool seating the other comprised of mainly tables & chairs, being a spacious semi enclosed area skirted by a footpath. This open, semi external, area stages musical acts that usually perform on weekends. Patrons and musos alike can enjoy this social setting in the cool breeze coming off the ocean some 800 metres east of this location. The main dining area is enclosed by three walls with immediate access to the abovementioned open plan bar. It also has access to the TAB via a connecting door from the dining area, quite convenient for punters and sports fans who can enjoy a drink, a meal or a bet. TV monitors which broadcast sporting and gambling activities adorn several walls throughout the premises. Dining is family friendly, available from 11:00am-9:00 pm daily. The food is tasty, well prepared and presented. We enjoyed the reasonably priced Tuscanny pumpkin salad from a menu with a good choice of food. The path from the door leading out of the diner to James Street branches off to a semi enclosed smoking area. Signage prohibits patrons from consuming food in this section. The poker machine room and toilets can be accessed through a shared short corridor from the dining area and main bar. Functional space is of a premium and hence, unfortunately, the rest rooms are not very wheelchair accessible. The atmosphere throughout is tropical, friendly and casual. The service we found to be prompt and courteous sans the hoity-toity business attitude so rife in some business premises of late. The bonus for history buffs is a very informative collection of b&w framed photographs depicting, among other subjects, the Yeppoon pineapple industry and its transport infrastructure including the township circa 1903. These shots adorn several walls throughout the premises. Historically the Railway Hotel is directly opposite the now disused railway station which in its heyday was also the loadind yard for crates of pineapples generally bound for the Golden Circle cannery in greater Brisbane. The Hotel is literally surrounded with parking spaces in both its James & Arthur Street frontages including the opposite sides of these streets. Also its western side car park at the rear of the building where its bottle department is located and the Coles car park nearby adjoining the NAB next door to the TAB's northern perimeter. Cheers.
Where do we start.. I had the Chicken Saltimbocca WOW WOW WOW!!! My husband had the 500g steak.. cooked to perfection.. worth absolutely every penny!!! The only criticism we have - the Patrons coming from the gaming lounge to the bar did this through the restaurant.. they were loud, obnoxious and swearing.. so a little uncomfortable. And my husband said he’d wished there was more sauce for the big piece of steak! Huge shout out the the chef.. seriously fantastic meal.. one of the best we have had in a long time! We are sure to recommend you to everyone! Thank you
Visited Yeppoon this weekend for a family celebration. Seated our group of 14 without a booking with no issues. Good range of meals on the mean hand reasonably priced. I ordered the pork belly with mash, broccolini and cola sauce. Huge serving which didn’t look very appealing as it appeared to just be a slab of jelly on mash. Was surprisingly delicious and I was unable to eat the whole thing. Drinks are well priced and the $10 cocktails are fantastic!!
Had the House Smoked Brisket. It was fantastic. The meat is melt in your mouth tender, chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside came with a Garlic salad. I rated the food a 10 out of 10. Great music in the background and a few beers to top it off
