It was my husband's birthday today, and we decided to stop by for a quick drink in the afternoon. We decided to book a table for dinner with our daughter, as it had been a while since we dined here. Opting to sit outside due to the pleasant weather, we were delighted by the amazing food. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed my fish dish, and the service was top-notch. We look forward to returning soon!
Walked in on a windy, rainy lunchtime, staff were very helpful and attentive.nFood was very tasty and generous serves.nHighlights were the 1/2 roast chicken, sirloin with snails, green beans and walnuts along with the crispiest roast potatoes.
The Sunday roast had been recommended - I selected the chicken roast lots of bones it was ok but does not compare to UK I’m afraid. Also they charged an extra $2.50 for a thimble full of extra gravy which was very thin and had the consistency of dish water. I had expected better for the $cost
Thoroughly enjoyed Saturday lunch with a group of 9. Set menu was fantastic - a drink of choice, delicious freshly baked bread & whipped butter, & 3 courses. Every dish was excellent, & there was more than enough food for us all.nThe service was outstanding - friendly, attentive, & on the ball - best hospitality service I've experienced in years. We were all impressed. Plenty of attention to every detail; nothing was a problem. Special mention for Todd, who looked out for me regarding a food allergy & made sure I missed out on nothing! He ensured our entire lunch event was excellent.nAnd the place was packed!nWe moved upstairs for more drinks after lunch, & that had a really comfortable bar space & a great vibe too.nLoved it.
My colleague recommended us his favourite Sunday Roast restaurant and we love it so much.nRight from the starter, bread and butter is so much and the signature roast chicken is a much try dish, very tender and juicy!
