Story

Tequila Mockingbird is located in Paddington’s Five Ways, in a lovingly restored terrace. The menu focuses on sharing plates that showcase a fun and sophisticated twist on traditional Latin American dishes, with the very best Australian produce and a beverage list from around the globe. Executive Chef Regan Porteous and team have created a menu that is informal and versatile, taking inspiration from Mexico through to Argentina and focusing on bold, fresh flavours driven by quality produce.

Came here for Anzac Day lunch without a reservation. They only had the option for set menu at $45 which was a bit inconvenient but was extremely happy that we decided to try the food. The tacos, guacamole and broccoli were amazing!! Service was friendly and the vibes were good. I highly recommend this place!

Very fresh and tasty food. The lamb and bean salad combination was fantastic. The service was friendly and considerate even on a busy afternoon. Tequila didn't taste like that when I was a student!!

We had a spectacular time at Tequila Mocking bird. The evening started with some delicious tequila cocktails, finished with a beautiful bottle of wine and some mind blowing food in between. Front and back of house both nailed every aspect, will be back soon.

Amazing decor, ambience, music and drinks that's let down by its food. While we enjoyed our night at Tequila Mockingbird the food was pretty average. It majors on proteins and lacks in vegetables which makes things feel too heavy and inbalanced. There can't be many more nicely decorated restaurants around though.

Great atmosphere in the cutest little spot on 5 ways. Food is also very tasty and embodies the best of traditional Mexican flavours with a modern twist... yummy!!
