seeing the original flag was an emotional experience that made me feel connected to the spirit of the diggers!nnthe coffee shop is great too with their selection of savories, deserts and great coffe.nnPeople were lovely and helpful.nnoutside the centre is great for families to relax and explore the history of Eureka!nnand easy parking
had both gendered bathrooms and all gender bathrooms the staff were very kind even when my younger sibling was working up the courage to buy a bottle of water. they had a couple interactive parts to the exhibit which kept kids entertained and all the information and displays were very interesting for adults the cafe had delicious food and the option of games and/or drawing while you waited for your order. the playground was also great for the kids even though it was raining lol. would definitely go again
Not much of a history museum person but it was an interesting walk through the Eureka Centre. Only $7 for entry & the lady at the front was very lovely and helpful. Some interesting artworks, artefacts, and of course the Eureka flag. Lots of reading. Glad I went for a visit here.
Great follow up to Sovereign Hill. Some interesting facts and a fun kids activity pack as well. Had a model of the Welcome Nugget, one of the biggest nuggets ever found. At the time we visited it was only $22 per family and it is free to locals.nnOut the back of the souvenir shop, it also has a popular cafe.
The original Eureka flag is on display and is the star attraction here. Well worth seeing and learning what this Australian history represents. Mostly presented via dated touch screens with some what too much reading. Newer video presentations would be a genuine and worthy improvement.
