Museum and workshop also open Tuesdays from 10.00 am


Ballarat Tramway Museum- Preserving Ballarat's history.

Tram ride tickets are sold on-board the tram.
$4.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Children.

Entry into the depot display area is free of charge.

It’s always good to visit any historical tram museums in Australia. The Ballarat Tramway Museum is among the best of them. It’s located next to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. There’s a paid tram tour around the botanical gardens available.

We took our 2yo and 6yo on the 20 min tram ride, including stops at the cafe for ice cream and the playground, and they loved it. Neville the driver was entertaining and informative, and or 6yo loved helping drive the 100+ year old tram. $10 for our whole family, so an easy choice for a family activity :-)
