I love this place. Great atmosphere, great food, staff are friendly and polite. it is clean, fresh and the decor is really pretty. the platter I had was fantastic and not over priced. great place to eat or relax with some friends over a platter and a few drinks or some local wines. If you are travelling around Launceston and not sure where to eat.. give this place a try
Fantastic experience! Friendly staff and delicious food. It's pricey, yes, but you get what you pay for. So, it's well worth it! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it, although it was difficult to communicate and figure out whether the restaurant was open we tried calling and instagram message. Also, a few items on the menu were sold out - oysters & a specific beer I wanted. But that's fine, it was public holiday and it was very busy - you could see staff was working hard and at a fast pace, so it does need to be taken into account. We had a beef tartare and a the Mushroom + truffle + prosciutto pizza that was really, really good! All in all, brilliant food, friendly staff and great environment. It is what matters. 5-star rating. Thanks!
Great vegan menu. Great service. Extensive wine list. I drank a glass of NV Jansz sparkling which was an excellent expression of Tasmanian sparkling and would please most champagne seekers for 1/10th of the price. The donzelle fried salted savoury doughnut to start with a tomato pomodoro sauce was comforting and really appetising. For main I had the Moroccan seitan tajine with apricot and root vegetables. Packed full of flavour sweet yet heartily savoury. A great winter/ wet weather dish. On the side I had hassle back potatoes with a thyme bechamel and Rosemary salt. The food was so good I'm glad I took left overs but disappointed I didn't get to desert. Customer service this evening from when I walked in was exceptional from all staff. Thankyou Vegetarian options: Vego / vegan menu Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level
The vibe and decor is just stunning. Service super grand and the food so tasty. I had the Korean bowl and the kimchi fried rice had a great smoky flavour. My friend loved the duck risotto. As strange as this may sound, we kind of thought the bathroom would be opulent to match. Just regular hahahah I cannot wait to visit again to come back here. Amazing.
Lamb was spot on, warm and soft. Calamari salad had Feta cheese, and the veggies were delicious as well. Decent selection of food, the waiters were very patient and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
I absolutely love their signature calamari salad and every time I travel up north it’s what I have. Tried out the baked Brie was delicious.
visited this place for dinner and also for office lunchs for a few times, must say it was a perfect pick. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. The venue, service and atmosphere were excellent and the food was great for the price. Good and different collection of cocktails. The presentation was simple and elegant. I recommend the premium calamari salad and a pizza, which both were great in taste. Especially the calamri, that was cooked to perfection، one of the best calamaries I have ever had. Over all good food and customer service.
The absolute worst place that I visited during my trip to Launceston. While the Donzelle was a delicious starter, it's not hard to fry dough and salt it. The second I was seated all I could think about was the ridiculous amounts of lights in the medium sized restaunt, i felt as if I needed sunglasses or a weilding helmet to see. Despite this, I was excited to try the Tasmanian soy poached salmon and my company ordered the salmon again and the pork belly, it took 50minutes since ordering for our mains to come out and when they did it was a disaster. The both of the salmon "slabs" were like rock, it looked okay from afar but I stabbed it with fork then hit the whole piece against my plate, it did not break. It was like a cement bar.... I've had well done salmon but this was next level horrible. It was as if they had been cooking for the whole 50 minutes it took to be made additionally I was missing my brocolini and was not informed of any shortages . On the other hand the pork belly was nice and well cooked but after the salmon... disappointment. I was not waiting another 50 minutes for their chef to figure out how to poach salmon. For a $42 dish that was unacceptable.
PERFECT creme brulee, cake and lemon pudding but the bombolini could use a bit more cream. The waitress at the counter that I paid the bill to, was very friendly.
Big drinks menu with something for everyone. Food was the highlight, the cheddar and sour chives with sourdough was refreshing, Although the pork cheek was a small plate, in many Sydney eateries, this would be a main, the pork cheek was incredibly tasty and the apples paired perfectly with the dish. The roasted vegetables with yoghurt were the highlight for my partner, and I loved the seafood pizza. Highly recommended.
