Three Steps on George is a great spot for an after work drink with colleagues or meal. Open 7 days a week from 5pm (4.30pm Friday) it's the perfect local. Happy Hours are 4.30 - 6.30 pm Friday and include free bar snacks. The menu is well rounded with stacks of options at various price ranges including traditional pub fare & more modern dishes from our award winning chef. The wine list focusses on Tasmanian wines & other Australian favourites. Function Rooms Available.

We had a really pleasant evening there, again. Mellow, elderly interior, comfortable, and just a nice place to be. High-end tavern food with mid-tavern prices. Service is excellent and well-timed. Staff well presented and courteous. Highly recommend. Oh, the lamb shoulder just fell apart. Delicious.
Lamb shoulder was good, we ordered an extra side of veg as it only came with root veg and we wanted some fresh veg. Filling meal and well priced. Upstairs was nice and quiet.
Excellent experience in this restaurant. The old red phone was interesting there. Good food services. Atmosphere was nice and warm, thanks to the fire chimney there. The top floor of restaurant was nice and warm. The restaurant provides complimentary port, which was a lovely touch. Must try it
Take your chances and just rock up early otherwise I suggest booking! The place is set on three levels - great decor old world, good selection of beverages and tasty food menu!

Warm and cozy establishment is just the thing to contrast the Launceston climate. Best food I've found in this town. The beer is cold. I'll be back.
