I'd noticed this place a few times and decided to stop in to grab some oysters for lunch. Well bugger me, it's an actual fish and chip shop, not just a place that sells seafood!nI ordered a half dozen oysters, a deluxe cod burger, and some chips.nI'm not sure how many oysters you've eaten, but I reckon I've eaten more. I'll be damned if I haven't eaten a squillion of em. You kinda just get used to the fact in every dozen or so there's one that's just not as fresh as the rest. It's always a relief to get that one first and finish on the freshest one. I'm telling you this because that didn't happen to me at the Local Fisho. These oysters were perfect! Plump, full of flavour, and as fresh as they come.nThe burger was absolutely delicious, and the chips were on point.nI'm sitting here watching thousands of people drive past on the freeway and shaking my head. No matter what they're doing for lunch, they're missing out.
Have seen this brightly lit Fish and Chip Shop on many occasions when travelling South on the M1.nnLocated just off the Pacific Highway at Loganholme.nnFinally popped in for a Seafood Dinner.nnHad the Fisho Hawaiian Pack for 1.nnThe Pack includes a Piece of Fish, Pineapple Fritter, Banana Fritter, Potato Scallop & Chips.nnGreat Taste and Value.nnNeeds a Mozzie Zapper for those Dining Outside.
I've been to the Fisho twice and have enjoyed it. I've tried the cod basa and the snapper. I preferred the snapper. It seems like the fish is fresh and not frozen as it has a fresh taste.nnThe chips portion is quite small. I've tried a pack deal and then also tried a large chips and fish bought separately. I feel I get a lot more chips at other fish n chip places, but they are tasty. Not much chicken salt.nnThere are many tables outside to eat on and there is a shade cloth. This place seems to be mostly visited by older people, over 50.nnThe woman who served us was pleasant and friendly. I'll be back again at some point. A classic fisho.
Probably the best fish & chips I’ve had in south east Queensland. Fresh fish, sea scallops with the roe, great batter. I got served by Martin and he was great. We got a piece of barramundi a piece of snapper 4 sea scallops 6 calamari a large serving of chips a tub of tartare and a soft drink for $45 best value around. I’ll be stopping back here for sure!
Brilliant find. Our car overheated and had to stop and came across the shop. They have a variety of food and we tried barra, snapper and the fish bites for kids. The fish was fresh and yummy and the chips were plenty. The price was reasonable and staff were kind and nice. We will go back again.
