I have driven past a million times and always wanted to stop and finally did today. The lady on the counter was very friendly and happy to share pie information. Limited supply in the cabinet though which was unfortunate. We had a Scotch pie beef, oats and peper ish sauce, Scotch egg and a topside pie. To the topside pie we added the London add on which was mash and liquor. Cost was $28 which we thought was a pretty good price. Overall pies were nice. The Scotch pie would have been a lot better with the London addition. It was I bit dry for my liking was much better when we put some of the liquor on it.

I have been travelling to Syd's Pies for the past 7 years to buy my scottish products, which are the best in Queensland. On this ocassion I also bought the beef mince pie and sausage roll. I love the food here as you know its made with love. However, the service needs to be improved. I found the ladies were in a hurry to get to the next person as quick as possible and with only 1 eftpos machine delays were inevitable. Also, the seating tables aren't inviting at all! We have 4 of us so thought we better sit down before we drive back to the city. The place looks very tired and unloved which is such a shame as the product is the best!
21st Dec 2024nnI'm not about to start throwing 1 star reviews on this place, even though wenWe're hit & miss again today.nnA little feedback, though -nnEither the ovens are overloaded , or theynare trying to turn over more pies at anhigher cooking temperature .nnThis was the same experience as my last visit, where the base was well overcooked, and the filling was also a little dry .nnThere was also a mistake made with one of our 4 pies, where we ordered 2 beef & Guinness pies, both had the same markings, yet one was most definitely steak & kidneyyuk.nnThis place is not easy to find, and fornmost, it's a destination drive / stop, as opposed to impulse.nnThis place used to be my go-to, but I have been heading all the way to narangba to get my fix .nnLet's hope this place can reset after Christmas and get back to mastering their craft with authentic British pies & pastries.nn5 years earlier 2019nnWinter is nearly here, and if you love a good pie for yourself or even the entire family, they have absolutely everything you would ever want
We got the family mince pie - was a really nice pie. Would liked to have purchased more but we were near the end of our holiday. They have a pie warmer with ready to eat pies etc. And frozen items. Along with groceries. The only negative is the lack of prices displayed on items.
