We stayed at The Honest Lawyer Country Pub, Hotel & Venue Hire for a few nights and also enjoyed dinner at the pub.nnWe shared the Honest Salad and a portion of Fish and Chips. The salad was excellent, featuring a great mix of fresh and pickled vegetables with a flavorful dressing. It’s a must-try for anyone who appreciates a good salad and is looking for a generous dose of vitamins!nnThe fish and chips were equally impressive. The fish was moist and perfectly cooked, with a crispy, non-greasy batter. The chips were just right—crispy on the outside while still soft and potato-y inside.nnThe location itself is stunning, and the pub has a truly authentic English charm.nnIf you have the chance, you should definitely visit this place—it’s well worth it!
I went there for an evening meal buffet style for our Christmas end of year work do. We were given a separate room. The setting was lovely and the meal was delicious. We had a nice selection of meat - roast lamb and chicken and a large selection of roasted vegetables and salads and small bread rolls. Dessert was pavola. All the food was well prepared and very tasty. The service was also very good. I would recommend this place for anyone who would like a nice buffet in a nice setting.
We went for Holiday in Nelson from Auckland ,we been dine in here third time restaurant during our holiday stay accross the road.nThe owner,the staff are all very welcoming and friendly,great in costumer service.nWe really enjoyed the ambiance of the place,very spacious,beautiful location.nAnd one time we had seafood chowder for our dinner,it's the best seafood chowder so far I had in New Zealand it's creamy and very seafood meaty very filling different 3 types of fish according to the shift and big prawn too ,the rest of the food that we ordered when we dined in were also all delicious,recommended to honest lawyers.
Went to the Homest Lawyer for lunch before flying out. Lovely location. Whilst sitting outside a flock of seagulls started fighting over food left on dishes on another seating area. Because we didn't want the birds to ruin our lunch I ended up taking the dishes back inside and putting them on the bar. Food was tasty but was expensive for what we got
Friends stayed in the accommodation & we ate dinner at the restaurant.nVery nice meal with a few gluten free options. My pork belly meal was delicious. The steaks on hot plates were generous & sumptuous.nDecor a bit tired but staff were friendly & accommodating.nLarge outdoor seating area & children's playground.
