I’ve been a member of anytime fitness for a few years now and I couldn’t recommend it more! Very friendly atmosphere and members as well as enthusiastic and helpful staff and trainers. I would recommend PT Curtis Lockyer to anyone! Since new manager Jack has joined the team the club has vastly improved. The gym is very clean and well kept with great equipment, and a whole range of classes. That along with Jack’s knowledge, experience and dedication it’s the perfect gym for anyone of any ability, especially those lacking in confidence.

24 hour gym great to fit around your schedule, a good selection of equipment with good private showers no awkward changing room conversations. Very knowledgeable personal trainers, with a passion for health and fitness, special shout out for Slav as his dedication to helping people achieve their goals goes above and beyond.

I moved down to Christchurch in October 2021 and joined the 3 months later in January. Alex was very welcoming, showed me around and I was left to test out the kit myself during a free session to see what was what. They had a campaign running at the time which discounted the price if I joined annually so I signed up there and then! It is such a welcoming environment that I've been going ever since and made some great progress with the help of Alex who is now my PT and Curtis another PT who is always willing to help. The management has changed hands a few times since I've been a member but the ship seems to have steadied under Jack and he's looking to really improve the gym and shape it to what the customers actually want! They have friendly competitions and external events which are open to all members too. Honestly couldn't recommend AF Christchurch more highly and I look forward to my session tonight!

Recently rejoined after an absence through injury and general life laziness.  Really pleased to see Jack and the new management team embrace the friendly nature from before I left as it had changed somewhat under the team after James left a couple of years ago. There’s a real community feel now that you simply don’t get with many chain gyms. That’s all to do with the team and members they have.  It’s always spotless too and weights do tend to get put away which again is unheard of, especially so early in the year with new members joining and not knowing about etiquette.  Special mention to Curtis who is a real gem of a PT. Always smiling and always helping someone.  Really glad I came back when I did.

I’ve been a member at Anytime Christchurch for 2 years, I’d never been to a gym before but when I went to look around, I felt really welcome by the whole team, Curtis Lockyer is my personal trainer, he has helped me overcome my nerves about going to the gym, we have worked together to hit my goals and I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it. The gym is clean and tidy with a really relaxed atmosphere, if you’re looking for a new place to train or just starting out, I’d recommend Christchurch without a doubt.

Writing a review for a friend as she wants to remain anonymous, she is still stuck in her membership for 7 months and doesn’t want the animosity when she’s at the gym. The gym has declined in the last few months; the place is filthy, machines never cleaned, management is appalling… they had no toilet paper for over a week, health safety? The new manager is rude and dismissive and not interested in hearing from her paying members. Classes cancelled last minute no reason. Some PTs are rude and bullying. Please don’t get stuck in a membership like she did.  Hopefully this will get heard by those that will be able to help as it pointless speaking to staff at the gym, many members feel the same my friend but feel helpless.

I’ve been a member for over 3 years. The gym is excellent. I also have a PT at the gym Slav Hardhorse Konik and he’s an amazing trainer. He’s helped and is helping me get to my goals. Everyone should give him a go. Love the gym and will be a member forever

Absolutely loving being a member at anytime fitness in Christchurch, equipment is second to none, great community of members and staff have been really helpful. Never been made to feel so comfortable in a gym!

Since the new management the club has massively declined. The new manager is incredibly dismissive and oozes laziness. Classes are continuously cancelled and never once has the manager stepped in to cover. Not only that but the over all cleanliness of the gym has declined massively.  I get the feeling the new manager loves the title, but dislikes the actual work ahahaha

Received a parking fine for parking in AF's members' bays whilst using the gym. I have e-mailed, but no one has responded. I have tried calling numerous times and no one picks up. Very bad experience all round
