Story

The Groove Train began in Melbourne in 1998 and was created on the foresight of Rocky Veneziano.
He envisioned a quality taste alternative to the mainstream fast food eateries.
The Groove Train was to be light on the wallet for the average person, loaded with flavour and signed with a standard of service that would later become The Groove Train legacy.

After the first store opened it generated immediate success as patron numbers climbed and word spread.
The Groove Train soon added two more restaurants and attracted a crowd of “Groovers” in Melbourne.
In the following years momentum continued to increase and store numbers doubled, tripled and expanded interstate.

Today The Groove Train is growing franchise of 22 restaurants Australia wide. We cater to a range of customers and are great for the whole family.

Located in summer hill shopping centre, this may be the best restaurant in the area if you take al aspects

Firstly the restaurant is spacious to have enough privacy. Ambiance is quaint ( old England setting?) with moderate lighting.

Secondly Menu is quite decent with different cuisines to choose from.decent choice of wine and spirits to go along.
Food is very good and service is fast.

Thirdly, the staff is friendly and cheerful 

Finally, the prices are reasonable and you get what you're paying for. 

Bonus- Ample free parking as it's in the shopping

It really pains me to give this place a bad review. When it first opened I went regularly and I really enjoyed the ambience, the warm welcoming service and the food. But the last few times we have gone (mostly for breakfast) we have been so disappointed. The food just doesn't taste the same. On the last visit the mushrooms that made up the bulk of my dish were not cooked at high enough heat to bring out their flavour and they were watery; the promised goat's cheese was sadly absent and the whole was woefully underseasoned. My partner's usual omelette was a mere shadow of its former self with little to show for the choice of four fillings and also bland and a little greasy. We have never liked their coffee and didn't order any so I won't comment further on that. I appreciate that they provide water but I wish it was cold and not lukewarm out of the tap but that has always been the case and previously more of a minor annoyance. I walk by frequently and have noticed it's nowhere near as busy as it used to be. Wherever you have gone old Groove Train please come back. We miss you.

Great service from the moment we arrived.
Food was tasty and filling. We had the eggs benny and smashed avo. Love the coffee!

Paid $36 for a steak which was undercooked and I asked it to be welldone. Mushroom sauce was ordinary.

Had eggs benny for breakfast today  and and O.Jwhich was very nice the eggs didn't have much flavour  muffins were quite tough and I wasn't asked if I wanted bacon or ham . I was just given the most expensive option  not surprising won't be rushing back at least for  breakfast
