charged privately 350 whilst providing healthfund info. was told privately would br paying 400 dollars but they charged the health fund which paid 650 approx. they said that as they used my health fund as well, i shud have been charged a 280 excess instead of 350, and offered to refund 70. when clarifying on the fone, they said as a private patient i would actually be paying 1000-2000 for all the fees. the information given is contradicting, and doesn't seem right, considering the last place- western gastrology services i had a endo colo scope done, same as now, i paid 300 flat for everything privately without health insurance. something seems off with place

Terrible experience : they gave us wrong information twice before the exam - at the moment of the booking and, again, the day we went to take the papers which needed to be filled in for the colonoscopy. The day of the exam we got there and they told us that the price was more then double compared with what they said before (twice). They said that our Medicare (the same that we showed them twice before) does not cover the costs and we need to pay everything before the exam is done. When we asked for a payment solution, that was denied too, after they asked the doctor's permission. My husband completed the 2 days of preparation for the colonoscopy (not eating and drinking all medicines) for nothing, he was dehydratated and weak and not even having his exam done. We still have the paper where their front desk operator wrote herself the price and all indications, after seeing our insurance and prescriptions. They said it was their fault but, unfortunately, they could not do the exam if we do not pay immediately the entire amount. Extremely unprofesional behaviour and complete disinterest for the pacient. What about the Hippocratic Oath? I could bet they never heard about it....Money talks...
