Visited on the public holiday and despite a 20% surcharge, business was booming. We waited about 30 minutes for a fish and chips order so it came out extremely fresh and piping hot. Can see why it is so popular, good fish and chips and well seasoned. The garlic cheesy potato cake was fun. Fisherman's Basket $27.50 was plenty between 2 people. We had a lovely view of the waterfront.

The was so fresh and tasty. The fish was cooked perfectly in a light delicate batter, the chips were so moreish I couldn’t stop eating them. It was busy but the service was good and efficient.

Finally made it to the Geelong Boat House for fish and chips!  This place is literally on a boat right by the waterfront —views are awesome! Service was super quick, and the portions? Massive!  I went for the seafood feast for two, which was more than enough to feed both of us . Prices are great too, especially for the amount of food you get! nnHighlight of the meal: cheesy garlic potato cake —first time trying it and WOW!  Definitely a must-have!  If you’re by the Geelong waterfront, this spot is perfect for a sunny day by the bay . Good vibes, tasty seafood, and great value!  Would totally recommend!

We had the barramundi and flake fish and chips at The Geelong Boat House, and they were absolutely amazing! The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked, and the chips were golden and crisp – a real treat. However, we were a bit disappointed that the tartare sauce came with an extra charge, and there was no chili sauce available, which could have added a nice kick to the meal.nnOverall, the food quality was fantastic, but a little more attention to condiments would make the experience perfect. Still worth a visit for great seafood by the water!
