Story

Sailors’ Rest is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offering an extensive range of drinks and sweet treats to enjoy at any time of the day or night. We warmly welcome families with children and have a kids menu just for them!

Told em we were in a hurry. No worries they say. Twenty minutes they say. 
An hour later food arrives. Avocado hard as rock. Mushrooms look and taste like they were cooked in grey water from Sam Newman’s laundry. Orange juice was as insult to oranges anywhere. Food was as cold as Daryl Somers career after hey hey it’s Saturday was cancelled.

Location top notch. Staff very attentive. Food excellent. However, we ordered the chicken wrap with chips, but my fellow diner ordered her wrap without the chips. (The chips come in a separate bucket.) When we paid the bill both meals were charged exactly the same, even though one was without chips! Bit cheeky. Also as passionate as the owner is, It's a little overbearing to see him discipline his staff publically. It's nice that he obviously has great attention to detail but to maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, might be better to be a little more discreet so that diners don't feel like "oops. so and so is in trouble." And instead focus on the beautiful meals and great views! 😀

Looking for somewhere for Breakfast after a concert the night before.  We were disappointed as some people pushed in front of us and took the table we had our eye on, but thats not Sailors Rest fault but it just was a shame as we wanted to sit outside.  Then our drinks took about 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour with our meal taking longer.  I had poached eggs that were hard. The extra avocado was not great as it was not fresh and looked more like a dip.  The waiter tried to take my drink when I wasnt finished and then as my husband was still eating when he took his plate away.  We left straight away very disappointed.
