We are a family run guest house with cottages based in Launceston Tasmania. We believe in accommodation that is value packed at unbelievable prices!!

Story

We, Tom and Bec, and our two boys, Huxley and Nate, have recently bought this heritage listed Victorian mansion with attached cottages, to live in and run as a family business.

Our aim is to give it quite a fresh new look of modern class that really highlights the Victorian charm and elegance yet focusing on bringing it into a new time.

Our mission is to provide value packed accommodation at unbelievable prices. We know what it is like to travel and we know that no-one wants to break the bank just to get a clean and cosy room to stay in. We also want to be able to add those special little touches that create a warm and valuable experience.

Fantastic place to stay! Easy self service, cool old rooms and amenities were great. House has lots of character! Location is perfect for getting to town, waterfront and cataract gorge. Also, the eggs from their chooks were the best I've had in a long time.

Staying at The Dragonfly Inn was fabulous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the extra amenities awesome. There is a book and video library, a guest kitchen, comfortable lounge and beautiful grounds. It is very central to all Launceston has to offer, Cataract Gorge is right around the corner. Tom and Bec are wonderful hosts and it feels like a home. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Liz Hamilton.

So amazing! Massive bed, awesome big bath tub with jets, clean toilet, spare couch, appropriately sized TV and the hosts (Tom and Bec) also left us 4 alcoholic drinks which we were so chuffed with. There is a big games room and they also supply you with all the breakfast items you could want! You have to make it yourself but they supply everything anyway! If we come back to Launceston we will definitely be coming back here. Thanks Tom and Bec + kids :)

Marvellous and spectacular landmark with a lot of heritage and history. Makes you feel like you travelled back in time. Must try!
