We had a great day/night staying at Penny Royal. Very good old looking styles. Not far from the main street of Launceston. Apartments were clean. Would come again.

Currently at penny royal after a long day. Room and facilities are very nice but over priced. It is 10 pm and were very tired. Was not warned about the noise level!! Something in the centrel part of the accommodation area. Loud music and people shouting and swearing. Then the up stairs room sounds like a bunch of elephants have moved in. Constant noise. As another review said bring ear plug Wish I'd seen that warning!! Will be very tired with a long drive home in the morning. Very disappointed with this stay. Rooms small but clean and tidy, so one star for that at least

Overall, nice looking bar. Not enough air conditioning for the space though on a hot night. Last drinks were called after the first round at 9 30pm. Not that it's unusual for Launceston but really could have stayed a lot longer.

Had a room book in via an agent who failed to mention we were travelling with my wife's elderly parents. The room we had booked had stairs leading to the room and more stairs to toilet & bathroom. Manager & staff were very empathetic to our situation & put my inlaws into another room. Both rooms were very clean & comfortable. Thanks for managing our stay so professionally and our stay enjoyable.

What a cool place this was to stay. When we arrived to our three bedroom apartment, we were amazed to see that this place has an old Convict Theme Park built directly behind it. We had no idea of this when we book and it came as a surprise to all of us. If we had known this, we would have stayed for two nights, not just one. The apartment was very clean and one of the best places we had stayed in during our trip across TAS from NSW. Whilst the actual apartment was amazing, the stairs to have to get to the actual door were a pain. We were travelling with friends and two children, so trying to lug suitcases, baby cots and the like up stairs became a bit of a pain. The WIFI did not work and we had to call some tech guy, who tried to troubleshoot the issues with us, however was unable to fix it. Regardless, great place to stay and would stay here again if I came back! Some advice, the Council Rangers will be all over you if you dont place your parking pass on the dash of the vehicle. They were at the parking lot morning and afternoon infringing non compliance.
