Four star location but the city hall clock striking on the hour kept me awake for most of the night.

Only had the chance to stay for a quick drink with my girlfriend but it was a nice place. Good value cocktail jugs. Good music and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Many thanks for a great time while visiting Newcastle. :

Had lunch there today. Food was great. Food was out within 15 minutes for a table of 6 which was great with a hour long lunch break. Lunch menu had every ever base covered. Will be back again

Throughly enjoyed our evening at the Claredon. The team on point & really made our evening. Big shout out to Tim & Monica for their professional and engaging service. The food was delicious, plentiful & timely. Lovely presentation. The wine list was good and well done for supporting Hunter Valley wineries. We will be back!

Old fashioned pub in the centre of Newcastle. Very good selection of beer from some of Australia's best known "craft brewers" classic pub menu that is geared towards food that goes with beer. I ate the chicken schnitzel and it was a perfect companion to my Pirate Life Pale Ale.
