Rooms were clean and spacious. Had a great view of the landscape, beautiful. Service at the front of the hotel was friendly and helpful. Babington's restaurant food and service did not hit the mark at times. I would not recommend the fried calamari and fish&chips room service, mine arrived cold and soggy. The steak photo was delicious though.
We had our 50th wedding anniversary party here last Saturday evening in the Functions Room. The event was a spectacular success, food absolutely outstanding and plenty of it, drinks reasonably priced and Function Room hire waived as we booked out many, many hotel rooms for our guests. Never have we been to a function where Canapes were so plentiful or delicious. The mains in particular were so well prepared and melt in the mouth, that many guests are considering holding functions here. Our guests were glowing in their praise of everything.Wait staff were courteous and attentive, a dance floor, microphone and table service all arranged for us. Steve, the Conference and Events Manager, was simply magnificent and nothing was a problem to him. Whomever hired him deserves a raise. Well worth the money and if we need to hire function facilities again, it will be here.
I have conducted events in similar venues over the past 30 years throughout Australia and internationally but the experience I enjoyed at the Apollo was absolutely superb in every aspect. It’s rare to have things flow so seamlessly which is why the Apollo will always be front of mind as the benchmark for how things should be handled. The friendly front-of-house staff, the incredibly accommodating Steve who was awesome with his flawless attention to detail he should run courses for event managers, the fantastic food and kitchen/ wait staff service, the accommodation itself, all simply amazing. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience so thank you to all.
The young man that checked us in was very professional and welcoming. The room had a lovely feel, bed very comfortable, beautiful outlook from balcony. Everything a guest needs was in the room. A pod coffee machine would be nice. But in general it was a great stay.Rooms: 5/5
Amazing place to stay, the staff are all fantastic, Richard the manager fantastic, Steve the functions coordinator amazing had a yummy Christmas lunch here Jane and Kat on the front desk warm and efficient, the team in the restaurant all great, food 5 star, amazing! The rooms are clean and modern, well stocked mini bar, nice and quiet. Great parking. Just go here. You’ll leave smiling
Rooms need an update however, its still quite reasonably comfy. Smell in room coming from bathroom which wasnt so pleasant possible plumbing issue?. Breakfast was below average on one day eggs overcooked but on point the following day. Reception staff was phenomenal 10/10 for their professionalism and service.
Great coffee and pool area. I stay annually to busy family for Christmas This time I paid for an upgrade. Avoid an upgrade paid or not as the room was noisy next to the exit door and lift. Stay with your original reservation as reception justify the noisy room being a free upgrade even when it wasn’t Patronising and dismissive. It was simple feedback about the room not the cost, that reception didn’t have time to deal with.
My Husband and I stay here quite alot. We find it very comfortable very clean and the food very nice and a great price. Reception staff always friendly and inviting. Looking forward in seeing you in staying again in a fortnights time.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful views, but staff's lack of attention to detail ruins the experience. Cons: - Found a pillow full of fungus in one of the drawers that probably hadn't been opened in months. - Rooms smelled very dank, which is interesting because the closest beach is about 3kms away and it hadn't rained either. - Bathroom exhaust fans weren't working, so mirrors were always foggy and smells did not dissipate. - Found a hair under the wine glasses. - Housekeeping put our plates from the night before outside, but then no one picked them up until a whole day later. - Restaurant staff was rude and in a rush for breakfast. - Overall, attention to detail was low. Pros: - Location and views were great! - Pool and gazebo were a nice touch too! - Shower water pressure was great!
Had travelled from Canberra after a family emergency and was in need of a shower and sleep. Was recommended Apollo International by a relative, and Richard helped me secure the very last available room over the phone. Upon arrival, Rachel was super kind after I’d already had a rotten day, and helped me into my room after I had a few issues opening the door. She even gave me a little bit of extra relief with a late check out so I could have a sleep in, which I am very grateful for as I didn’t have the best sleep due to everything that had been going on that day. A little bit of kindness from both staff members made a stressful time easier to deal with. If I ever need to travel for a family emergency again, I’ll know exactly where to stay! The bed was comfortable, the room was ‘roomy’ and the heating/cooling was just right. The shower was also pretty darn good too!
