This store used to better, i have been coming to the cape store for over 7 years and i have see multiple changes in staff and management. Just recently though the store has been lacking. I blame it on the new staff. My main problem is with the chips. The amount of chips has gone down as well as the quality of them. Also the drinks are far too expensive. I mean $5.50 for a 1.25L coke is a rip off. 
Please go back to the old cape store

Unfortunately you cant write a review without giving it a star, i bearly deserves that...
I grew up around the corner of this shop, and seen it pass through many hands, and upon a recent return to my child hood home, i was shocked and appalled at not only the condition of the place, but the awful rude service, massive wait times, and over priced menu.
Take my advice, it is faster to drive the 10km to wonthaggi or inverloch, buy some spuds, and fish and a deep fryer, peel the potatos make chips, batter the fish and drive back to the shop to eat it out the front, then it is to order and wait.
I understand you have a captive market right by the coast, but your a shame you have destroyed the previous icon cape land mark...

Pleasant reliable and courteous. An appropriate social  meeting place for locals and itenerants with saleable treats available all year through.

Really good Fish & Chips. Friendly staff. Can't ask for anything more really. Will definitely drop in again next time I'm in town.
