Great old-fashion take away. Bacon & egg roll was tasty, coffee was excellent. Crave coffee is served here, made a little on the hot side so perfect to takeaway.
Boasting A set of freshly baked hamburger buns packed with all the trimmings, i went for the ned kelly beef burger with the lot. Setting me back a whopping $9.50 i wasnt to concerned about breaking the bank as this burger looked promising - on paper. As my eyes peered into the flavoured milk section of the fridge, i observed helga the 10 time gundagai burger of the year award winner pull a frozen beef patty straight from the freezer and toss it onto the hotplate, right next to a piece of pineapple the size of a 50 cent piece. My heart shattered, my eyes drooped. Had i just made the biggest mistake of my life? I gave helga the benefit of the doubt that she had prepared the burger patties that morning and that was actually a fridge she pulled it out of keeping them cool. I left and set off up to the IGA to get myself a 600ml chocolate milk for a cool $2.50. Upon my return to the bushranger helga had finished cooking my ned kelly with the lot and handed it me straight from the warmer. I head outside to take up seat and see if the ned kelly lived up to its name. I unwrap the burger and take my first bite. I peer inti the burger and the so called beef patty has a green tinge to it, leading me to believe its not beef at all but some breed of dog. the second bite really makes my stomach churn, they have used that cheap plastic cheese that comes wrapped individually in slices of about 100 for 1 or 2 dollars. Combine that with a few of helgas back hairs and the pathetic piece of yellow fruit they call pineapple and they have earned themselves a single star. If your ever in gundagai looking for a good feed, keep on looking.
Good quick feed when everything else was shut on a Sunday. Said it would be 15 min, more like 7! Good enough to earn a return trip for breakfast in the morning.
Best old school hamburger with the lot
Lovely small town restaurant. We always come here when we stay in Gundagai. Friendly staff and lovely food. I would recommend this to anyone
Over price food for a small business. $5.00 for a long black coffee. Little unfriendly staff
Good country diner. Open for a coffee when the rest of the cafes weren't.
