DO NOT STOP HERE!!! The place is so filthy, despite aperently it has just been clean as all the chairs where on top of the tables, there were only 2 tables to sit down, I even though it was closed and it was only take away, the point was to let my daughters eat and have a play, however the playground was closed. There was 4 people working at it including the manager and despite not being busy there where dirty tables the only 2 you could sit on, spider webs on the self order machines, rubbish on the floor even though all the "caution wet floor, cleaning in progress" where everywhere and overfilling rubbish bins. Can even talk about the toilets. So no matter how hungry or desperate you are, just wait, just go into Gundagai and find something else.
I would most definitely not recommend stopping in at this McDonald's. It's filthy inside. They refuse to open the playground for our 4 children because there was a spot of rain. The playground is under cover so we find this strange. Staff are very rude and unprofessional. I have never come across a McDonald's so dirty and unprofessional. Disappointing after being on the road for 6 hours and still a further 4 to go. Highly recommend stopping elsewhere guys.
McDonald's is in South Gundagai, you turn left from Hume Hwy to Mount St. And start to your left. You coming from Albury go left up the ramp to the bridge right turn to Cross Street, go the around about and right again to McDonald's. It was a good meal, also very busy on the day. Very busy in the morning, nice service, the Staff are so Wonderful and Helpful, do the best to service your. We had a Big Brekkie Burger with cappuccino, Mac Coffee and Milkshake. Come and order your Breakfast. Enjoy your Big Mac for lunch , and Chicken Nuggets. Inside there is a playground for the children to enjoy. Are you hungry come to Gundagai McDonald's, on your away to Sydney or Melbourne. Have your Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
Chances are if you're driving somewhere from Sydney to Melbourne or vice versa you may stop by here. Both food and service are average. There isn't a McDonald's nearby so most people will stop here; the workers are always stressed and getting slammed. Don't hate the workers too much, they're trying their best. Supervisors need to treat their workers better, it's quite awful.
Friendly and quick service, Clean toilets, children play area. Easy access and exit to the highway.Food: 4/5
Kudos to this team!! It was very busy but still was able to keep up with the demand and great service. Apologising for the long wait in drive through but, really is not their fault. Parking for those towing available next to it. Parking: Parking for those towing available near by
Dirty restaurant, overflowing bins, empty napkin dispensers. Burgers were acceptable but chips were cold.Food: 4/5
Just had breakfast from here as we traveled. Was served by the 2 nicest guys, friendly, helpful, enjoyed a laugh. The foid was fresh and perfect. Loved the experience. I had turned off Maccas but so glad we stopped there on our way through… made my morning. Dietary restrictions: Was very helpful in making sure my request weird hot choc was catered for
We stopped at this Macca’s last night Sat 29/04/23, less than an hour before their closing time. Everything was nice and clean, including the toilet like, the cleanest fast-food public toilet I’ve been to. It was a good timing. It was late so the machines were getting turned off, but my orders were promptly prepared. Shout out to the 2 staff ladies who were very friendly and accomodating to us. The ice-cream cones were great - we took our time enjoying them and they did not melt at all. We also liked the taste of their chips, nicely salted, hot and crunchy - exactly what we needed for a rainy night. All our snacking orders came out perfect, and we were so happy as we got back on the road .
The singularly WORST McDonalds Restaurant I've ever been to. We stopped for a toilet break and decided to grab dinner. The ladies toilets were ok. They weren't pristine but they were a step above disgusting. The restaurant itself was another matter. It was feral. Food and litter left on tables, rubbish all over the floors it looked like no one had swept all day and the screens didn't seem to be working to take orders. There seemed to be only 3 people working. One older guy on the drive through an older woman on the front counter and a younger guy in the kitchen - and that was it. The McCafe was closed and being used for stock storage. The woman took my order rather grudgingly. The food wasn't fast but didn't take too long to come out. Unfortunately she gave me the sundae first so it was totally melted by the time the rest came, and it had caramel all over the outside so was sticky and yuk to pick up. The fries were bone cold and my burger, while fresh cooked, had a hair in it. My husband's chips were also cold but his burger was fine. The state of the restaurant was gross, the service was bad and the order provided with very little care. I doubt that the hygiene standards are adhered to very well. As a family we have stopped at Macca's many, many times over the past 30 years but I will never stop here again. It was a revolting, awful experience. I'll wait for Yass or Albury or go to the Dog on the Tuckerbox. Parking: Plenty of parking
