Found this pub on the way back home from camping. Was really looking for a good pub steak - sadly, didn’t find it here.nnGot the dry aged porterhouse - porterhouse definitely didn’t taste dry aged, was at a medium when I ordered a medium rare, and the steak condiment sauces were really bland tasting.nnOther food was pretty good though!nnService was amazing though - really got that small regional town charm down.nnProbably needs a new chef on the grill!
Service was lovely, the atmosphere was nice. The salad I had was a huge disappointment. It was an insipid iceberg lettuce with traces of Greek salad ingredients swimming in vinegar, or it was the picked onions used instead of traditional onions in a Greek salad. The lamb was leftover cold sliced lamb that was fatty, tasteless, and not at all worth the $34. I felt unwell for quite a few hours afterwards.
Hosted a function on their mountain view room. The team were super friendly and helpful on the night and made the entire process easy and seamless. The staff were super caring and considerate. The communication was quick and efficient so I was able to enjoy the night.nnThe food was great also!
A great pub located on the main road in Woodend. Cute little wombat themed characters all around. There is a well stocked bar with coffee also available. A nice fireplace as well perfect for those chilly Macedon Ranges days. It is located across the road from Coles so easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was also good. Highly recommend a visit!
Lovely place on a Winter's night. Open fireplace was going and added nice atmosphere. Chicken Schnitzel was yummy but too big to finish. Apple salad didn't have much apple and was a bit bland. But the service staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. Price was just right after our Seniors discount.
