We had a lovely and relaxed three-day stay. The staff were so helpful, efficient and accommodating it really made the difference. The self contained apartment had a great patio overlooking the pool and beach. The room itself was a little tired, but immaculately clean and beds comfortable. Location is fantastic opposite the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely modern room, had everything I needed including small amt of laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid, coffee, tea sugar and milk.nDid a late check-in all went smoothly except the fob to garage didn't work, but there was parking available not undercover and was immediately sorted by reception no fuss when I talked to them next morning. I didn't feel the need to ring after hrsnnPros:nAir-Con, clean and well presented, tv in both lounge and bedroom, large bathroom inc waser and dryer. Ample pillows and blankets comfortable bed. Heated spa by main pool. Location cross the road to patrolled swimming beach and of course Friendly helpful reception staff.nnCons:nI had to go home eventually.

I have stayed at the Beach Retreat previously 2 years ago and it was very clean and comfortable.nHave just left today after a 2 night's stay and will never stay again. Very tired and extremely smelly/stale in the room 34B. Single lounge chair in the room looked very comfortable, but my arms stuck to the chairs arm rests, had not been cleaned for who knows how long. No views and kept awake most of the second night Monday of the school holidays with a TV that was left on all night.

Always good:n* Clean, easy, friendly.n* Easy enough to get around if u use a manual wheelchair.n* Fairly priced.n* Great position, good views.nnLittle bit older, but that's part of the beauty. Designed with character, not an imposing high rise. Classic Sunny Coast at its best. Makes for a great Coolum holiday

We stayed in this hotel Mother’s Day weekend and were incredibly disappointed.nWe attempted to use the fan in the bedroom and it did not work properly so it was unable to circulate any air. We then noticed the bedroom was meant to have aircon and when we went to use it noticed the switch on the wall didn’t work to turn it on.nWe then turned on the lounge room aircon to cool the apartment down and after 15mins could smell a horrible smell coming from the aircon. Upon closer inspection we noticed that it was full of thick dust and black mold. We turned the aircon off immediately as this can be very toxic.nWe attempted to contact after hours and no one answered, so at check out the next day we explained these problems and the receptionist displayed zero care and seemed to create excuses for why these things occurred. It was absolutely appalling.nOur stay was very unpleasant and the lack of empathy and care the staff showed was horrible.
