So, just walked into the accommodation of this 4 star resort which we paid good money for 1 weekover $5.8k, but was more then disappointed upon entering the unit.nThe unit was dated and the view was less then impressive as it was only partial view from one bedroom.nThe odour in the unit was foul. The refrigerator is old, with rust and cracks and worst of all smelt rotten so we did not put any food in it.nOne of the bedroom did not have any cupboards for hanging clothes up.nThe shower head was corroding.nThe room was not cleaned properly as there is food under the couch and leftover stuff under the tv unit.nThe wardrobe is hard to open and looks like it’s off the rails or not lubricated.nThere was stains on the walls and ceilings.nThe fan in the room is a noisy.nRooms are not vacuumednThe couch is uncomfortablenI have been to 3 stars accommodation that is better than this. It’s not worth what we paid for. If I could upload photos I would.nWe will not be coming back here and will not recommend to family or friends.
We had an awful stay at Clubb Coolum. The room was in terrible condition. The ceiling in the shower had ripped through from a leak and was full of black mould, the skirting boards were crumbling and rusting in the bedrooms, skirting boards coming off the walls, mould on the curtains. We were in shock with the quality of the room but more so by the way management treated us. We were blamed for sticking our “finger” in the ceiling and making a hole and told that they would send a cleaner up to clean the room and just not to use the ensuite and main bedroom. We asked for a discount since it was then a 2 bedroom or asked to be moved rooms. We had to chase them multiple times, going down to the desk after hours of not hearing. We were told a plumber wouldn’t come until the next business day once we had left to stop the leak and they had no spare rooms so we could leave by 10am presumably so they could re rent it out but they would not be refunding us for the night we stayed. As it was a long weekend we could not find accommodation anywhere else and were forced to stay as we had an event on we couldn’t miss. They told us via email that it was not false advertising by showing a well maintained room on the website as they show the average and some are better, some are worse. Be careful when booking here.
My husband and I loved this unit. We had a very spacious unit with two bedrooms snd two bathrooms. The kitchen was very functional and the view was simply amazing.nWhen it rained, we stayed put, caught up with friends and when it was fine, walked along the beach across the road and went out. The car stayed put in the garage as everything was within walking distance. We found reception staff very friendly.
Room we got was bit tired but a good layout and spacious. Staff on desk were friendly and helpful. Great position on main drive but not too close to pubs and bars .
Stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was comfortable, spotlessly clean, had everything you need and a fabulous view of the ocean. Ladies on reception were a delight and we would definitely stay again.
