Never in my life have I received such a small serving of fish and chips. This cost $34!! Paid extra for grilled fish and there was still flour all over it. $1.50 surcharge to pay with eftpos card is not acceptable in this day and age!! Was recommend to try this place out but NEVER AGAIN Go to Ashburton fish and chips and you would pay $15 for this size.
One of my weekly checklist here, everything’s great, tasty food, nice friendly service all the time, always giving me the extra grab sticks. Highly recommend to all my friend
I have to review this shop, I have had others around this area, none come close to their fish and chips and I have been going here for years now. I had a hankering for fish and chips and tonight just hit the spot perfectly. I always upgrade to the snapper, it is always nice and thick flakes of fish and its not your usual thinly sliced fillet. The batter is crispy on each bite and somehow they manage to not make it oily, you wont feel like you consumed litres of oil after eating these fish and chips. They also threw in some extra crab sticks in the family meal and they were so good! Lastly, my wife is a coeliac gluten free and they use a separate fryer to cook their chips and the gluten free fish is on the grill. They have a few other menu items you can get gluten free as well. So far the wife has not had a reaction from the fish and chips here and it doesn't take much for her to get sick if she has any gluten. Its hard to find somewhere for gluten free people to eat, especially fish and chips! Sorry no photos! The food didn't last after the kids smashed it! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Options
Had such a lovely experience at this fish and chips shop tonight. First time I've been here, and the owner was so lovely! The fish was lovely and fresh, and tasted excellent. Perfectly crunchy but not too oily. There was hardly any oil on the paper wrapping. Highly recommend. Thanks!
Great fish and chips. Had extras in my order which was greatly appreciated. The batter was just right. Scallops had the roe which is rare in WA and loved by us kiwis. Will be back again. Thank you.Food: 5/5
Everytime I come here it's always fresh! The lady is super friendly and makes you feel welcome just like a local fish and chip shop should! They are old school fat chips and beautiful battered fish!
solid claim to be the best fish and chips. the lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. we got the snapper in a family pack and the fish was fresh and a big portion. they even threw in a couple of freebies since we had a large order. and everything was delicious!
