WEDNESDAY EVE. Every 3rd Wednesday at the Bank Hotel

Story

Every Third Wednesday we turn the Velvet Room into a hive and a haven of local talent and local TALENT. Djs from 7pm featuring DJ pawnography with a cool rock set. Bands from 10pm and DJs right after until home time.

Entry is free. Doors open at 7pm. Bands are on from 10pm.

ARE YOU IN A BAND? We accept proposals from artists of all kinds. You just have to be independent and play original music. Please email [email protected] with proposals.

Our Christmas party this year will feature two bands soon to be announced. 21 December. stay tuned.

As you might know Wednesday nights at the Bank Hotel have become an institution for the Sydney, Gay, Lesbians and Bi-sexual community and has been running for over 15 years now. For the first time ever we have decided to introduce live music on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, showcasing a different girl band of different genres each time.

I adore this place, whether its for a quick drink, a place to meet up with friends or there simply amazing food you cant go wrong. Staff are fabulous and both levels have disabled accesslift and level entrance inside!!! Has smoking section. Even assisted my efforts when i lost my sunnies there once.

Overall a really good pub. I have been there so many times! Just missed one popular beer brand. That's ok!

surprisingly the bank has become one of my fave pubs in newtown, it's HUGE with a great courtyard and there always seems to be space. love ya work

Good service and arrogant security inside. We got kicked out for looking intoxicated. They lumped is with the table next to us and told us all to leave. When talking to the young man he said ' I made my decision.' and walked away. If you're after a good night with your mates, find somewhere else.

Absolute banger of a venue with staff, security and management to match, keep up the good work guys, love from a Newtown local.
