It is located right at the fork on the road. Easy to miss. Parking can be difficult as the back streets are usually filled. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Food is decent. Staff are friendly and the service is quite fast.
Have always enjoyed my visits to this venue. I sit up on high table in the front bar and study whilst enjoying an Espresso Martin and or ill meet friends upstairs to enjoy the live music whilst dancing/drinking the night away. The staff are always nice, the food I've still yet to explore and sometimes the vibe is abit messy but with all the different bar options if your with a good bunch you'll have a good time..
We just finished our girls night out, server Sophie was such a breath of fresh air. They made us feel so welcomed, attended us with the a super slayed, can do attitude and made sure our every whim was catered for!! Excellent service.
I just wanted to leave a positive review, security guard Jasmin always puts a smile on my face and also creates a safe environment where I feel accepted and excited to be there! I really needed water because I wasn’t feeling well and she went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. Great venue, great staff and security guard Jasmin is literally girl boss queen slay
We had our Engagement Party at The Bank. From the minute we started the booking process the staff were fantastic! Answered all of our questions, met our needs and created a really great environment for our celebration. Would highly recommend if you after a nice venue with chill vibes on a lovely sunny afternoon!
Had a few nights at the bank, great place for a drink and dance.. call out to Willy and YaYa, professional, understanding and respectful. I lost my phone and they helped me grab a cab. Refreshing to deal with reasonable security guards that want you to have a good experience at the bar.
Yo the bank be banking me for another visit any time soon LOL. I mean seriously this place is dope AF, look at the picture of that food just look at it I mean come on it is so good looking I just want to make out with my food is that weird? No, because no one at the bank would ever judge you for making out with your food. Love the fact that you can order your drinks from the table and they bring it to you so incredibly ingenious and convenient. I’ll be back to weird people out while I make out with my food, yeah I said it!
I just hope no one has to go through the experience I had. I don’t recall having been to Bank hotel before this visit and it will be the last one. This was after a very long time that I cried and weeped a lot. Long story short… I was refused drinks and thrown out of the bar for offering a girl help whose car had been broken just in front of the bar for hours. The girl was panicking for getting too many horns when it was not her fault at all. I offered her all kind of help, water and food. I was clearly not intoxicated as I was having only apple cider and bubbly along with lot of water. I knew what I was doing. The lady who claimed to be a manager really had some serious psychological issues, I could see she was bully, rude and carried not empathy for the customers. Eventually I was thrown out of the bar when one of my mate started shouting at them though I tried to stop my mate. I have never seen this cold behaviour by any staff ever. Extremely disappointed. I really feel that the staff was very racist as I am a person of colour. I am looking forward to take a legal action against the Bank Hotel. I will just make sure my helping nature is not changed by this heart breaking incident.
5/5 from me if I do say so myself. I came here one night and had a chat with one of the bartenders who then took me home and made sure I got into bed safely. Such wonderful customer service, they really care about you here.
Decided to leave a review after the second horrible incident in a row. Very poorly run establishment. Managers are bullies, bouncers even worse - practically running on ego trips. They bounce and kick people out for no reason yes, even the sober ones and when you ask why, they won't have an answer for you. Go figure! Staff are extremely rude as well. I would skip this place and go to one of the many other establishments in Newtown, especially if you're part of the LGBTQ+ community. So much for tolerance hey.
