Poor service, asks you to sit down and wait for hours for a 5 minute question whilst proceeding to happily assist multiple customers who arrived after without appointments. Security guard is passively aggressive, needs to be taught some customer service on how to talk/treat cx or find another job. Gone are the days of service in-store.
Telstra Store on George St in Sydney CBD is my favourite Telstra Retail Shop of them all. I have found out of many that I've visited, this shop really knows Business Accounts well and can easily handle any complex problem I throw at them. They can go through my bills, give me contract details and when something sticks on the Telstra System; the staff are incredible at working through things on the phone and more. Today I had to take my phone in that I dropped it over the weekend and cracked the screen really badly. They told me I had insurance yay and helped me order a new one. Really happy and great shop. Highly recommended!
Absolutely useless store. Would not assist me on Friday and had to book an appointment for Monday. I came 5 min early on Monday and had to stand outside. They were late to open the store so I left. Appointment booking system does not work. Happy to my business elsewhere.
Terrible customer experience. Person at the door does not greet customers and was unsympathetic and rude. I was told that if you arrive after 4pm, when they’re open until 6, they will not serve you. When I asked if there was a manager I could talk to, I was given a hand written note with a mobile number and told to leave a message. Horrible customer experience from someone trying to make a purchase.
Dropped by to pick up a 4G wifi to use while my nbn was down and waiting to be repaired. Told I had to make an appointment and wait. The store was essentially completely empty with two customers being served. There were four staff just standing at the door doing nothing. All I wanted to do was walk inside, buy something and leave.
I don’t think they have more than a few employees lol. No matter what time you go or what day, there is more than a 1 hour wait, even when you show up before they open. Good luck getting any help here. The place is huge and they need more staff.
Can you please update your telstra rewards store items. They are all outdated and over priced, so although it appears that you get a kickback from Telstra in the form of points, however to spend the points u get ripped, diluted and you can only spend on out dated stocks. Doesn't matter what you say, that is a fact. Rather go to another provider or a telstra reseller, save the money and buy anything you want with it. The telstra premium just simply not worth it these days.
Device: Netgear Nighthawk M5 modem Connection: Telstra 5G Sim Plan: $85/month + $600 device outright Download speed 378mbps + upload speed 46mbps Payment was completed by credit card, $600 something to buy it outright. It is better than paying for a plan, as I can then choose the plan I wanted, alternatively if in the end I am not happy with Telstra, I can then go with TPG, some other provider. Delivery was completed by Startrack on the weekend, 2 years on the reception from the outside is incredible. I have been living in a 18 unit complex, in South West Sydney for the last 2 years the rest of the street has 5 unit complexes on each side, total 10 + 2 complexes on one end of townhouses. There are plenty of opportunities for interference, as I can see at least 20 other potential connections for Wifi, but I can always connect to my device. There have been times of interference, I close all browsers and restart my modem and eventually reconnects. 99% reliable connection, provided I have to restart the device, once every 2 months concerning any interference between my laptop and the outside. Sometimes the restart for the connection doesn't need to occur for at least 6 months.
Nice and easy. My phone connection was very bad. Problem fixed less than 10 min. Thanks
If I could provide a 0 star rating I would. Firstly, I enter the store and the sales person named Moey was standing behind the counter. I was not greeted or asked why I came in on Saturday 21st. I had to approach him to ask to be assisted in my current plan, as I urgently needed to change it. Not only this but I am paying for a device I don’t use, and my TelstraApp doesn’t work. I was advised by Moey that he can’t help me because he closes soon and I would have to come back another day. If I lived in George Street I would, but I don’t. After being with Telstra for over 6 years and always going in store, as previously when placed on my parents phone plan online, we were provided with 2 random people’s phone bill from WA, and my number was on an individuals plan in QLD. My family having Telstra as their main provider for over 20 years, I have now converted them to Optus, who swiftly assisted me without hesitation, transferred my number and set out a new plan & device for me in 10minutes. It is customer service that makes a business, staying back to assist a customer to ensure they are happy with a centric service. But Moey at Telstra, does not deserve to work in Customer Service… as he has not only turned me off from a large corporation, but also Telstra itself. I have managed a flagship store and understand that times get tough, and days are long… but that’s retail! You provide care to customers and not just disregard them, people come into a store with purpose and not to fart around. Moey doesn’t deserve to work on retail… he should work where he isn’t face to face with customers.
