Need strong legs while the scaffolding-stairs are there ... .still under construction/remedial works while I was there, twice - far apart.
Much better compared to what it was before. A bike rack or storage would be ideal. Also adding a 24hours security person would make this station more appealing especially during night time. Manurewa and Takanini has 24h security person, why this station has not??
It's pretty good. Plenty of shelter and seating. Trains were before schedule and there are two entrances to the station. It's actually really good except there are no toilets and other facilities here but that is the case for many Auckland train stations.
Unsafe train station with very poor lighting. No parking is available. The station is old and run down. Often covered in graffiti and rubbish. The vandalism at this train station often results in the ticketing machine been broken and makes it impossible to read the timetable.
Te Mahia station has been done up so as to feel much more cared for. More people are using it. Be careful after dark however.
