I mean, how many schools do you see next to the water? Great teachers and the majority of students are good. Would 100% recommend.
A very diverse range of forehead shapes and sizes. Us students are the not smartust on the tasmania and are very not attention span. Yup. not Great place stop for ice cream. Two early start. No time four brekkiefast though. Always Hungary. Anyway, as the Lorax once said: "breakfast is overrated." all factors comsidered, yeah out of 10. Would not recommend for you're child. Altho, if you have Mr. PC as releef, you have stuck gold! He's the most awesomest and radical man I know. Despit his age, he can walk on his hands around the classew, he voiced Barney Rubbles dad in a crtoon, and if your lucky, he'll recroot you into his secret servise. •Now for a pome I wrote• Mr. PC, a legend in the halls, Walks on his hands, defying teacher calls. His voice booms out, a familiar tone, Barney Rubble's dad, on the cartoon he's known! A secret service, a student squad so keen, Whispers of knowledge, on what the next test might glean. But facts get fuzzy, a laugh lines his face, Mr. PC's jokes, a whirlwind pace. Equations twist, and history bends, But learning's an adventure, that never ends. A bit unorthodox, some might say he's wild, But Mr. PC's classroom, a place where laughter's a child. So here's to the teacher, the wacky, the wise, Who fills education with laughter and surprise. Mr. PC, a legend we hold dear, May his classroom adventures echo for many more years.
Wish I could give it a 1, Some teachers are good but there is quite a few especially relief teachers that put zero effort into teaching. I once had a Grade 8 maths class and the relief brought in grade 6 English work. The government needs to get their act together and put some money and resources to improving our school. I am writing this on PC in the school. The PC in question was made in 2001. Its 2024 soon fellas. Sure the school is in a nice area, close to the water but you can never judge a book by its cover. The bathrooms are honestly worse than the reviews. But this is because the school will almost never fix them or punish those who vandalise. the main problem with this school is the lack of funding especially towards the behaviour of students. In grad 9 there are not enough courses to take. I don't think this is the schools fault as they do not control the budget. I hope this review reaches the government, as they need to supply the school with more funding! 1000+ students need to share only 3 million dollars which sounds like much but that is only about 2700 for the entire school experience from grade to 12, And this doesn't even include The schools upkeep, teachers pay which is dismal as well and resources. Hope they can improve the school for the next generation as I would want my siblings and their friends to have the best experience possible while at taroona. also Mr PC is the best sincerely, A student P.S. If I get in trouble for this. It will show just how much they suck.
Computer lab people let us use it during Lunch which was cool. Got stuck in a separate house to a sibling who got put into the house that always won. Also, questionable sanity of people in the bathrooms, they may be gone.
I love going down to the beach. The water is quite wet. Individuals look nice. Quite Spicy. People bully me, but that's just part of the banter. Teachers don't care about my wellbeing. OVERALL: 10/10
nearly necked myself in grade 9 average taroona experience
People complain about the toilets and stuff, but it's the people there who vandalize them that are the problem. Some people just don't respect the the cleaners that have to scrub off the writing on the back of the doors daily. But the school itself is great - amazing location not many schools are directly on the waterfront, great subjects, and well-equipped woodworking/design workshops. Music program is also very renowned for being the best in the state. Canteen food is actually enjoyable GARLIC BREAD GANG Oh yeah, and 3d printers - noice. The buses can be a bit crowded, but what do you expect from a school with thousands of students. Metro's done a good job allowing people from lots of different areas to attend and supporting this transport demand. Overall, highly recommend. Don't listen to the other bad ratings here, they don't respect the work that goes into providing us with the amazing facilities at Taroona. It's definitely above average in terms of non-private schools, in fact it's pretty close to their standards. The teachers are nice as well. Oh, and before I leave... I still remember coming here in 2018, little did I know what was in store for me for the next 4 years. Making friends with students, teachers, having good times with lessons, special events and much more. Of course, there were times where the sun didn't shine and I was left in a pit of negativity but I always found a way out. I'm gonna miss place, I really will.
Too big and not enough room for 2000+ students. The barthrooms smell like meat and theres no to little suport for children. Coming from a 45 yearold mum
Lovely school with lovely teachers whom I've maintained strong relationships with for many many years after. Robert Gawlik, Sue Schaap, the beautiful Sandra Renshaw, and so many more, who all gave so much to help me become who I am today. I am eternally grateful!
