Amazing food in a pleasant atmosphere, this small Japanese restaurant really delivers. First class ingredients and friendly service. Note: there is an online menu via a QR code on the tables, but also a paper menu available with a very slightly different selection.
Authentic Japanese restaurant. Highlight of the dishes ordered would be the tuna and egg dish which was really nice refer to photo. Was really disappointed though they no longer do the seafood platter as shown in photos from previous reviews. As of the time of visit, some of the sushi’s on offer was also not available. So be warned that selection of dishes may be limited. I highly recommend you check out the online menu first before visiting. Pricing is also pretty hit and miss.
Delicious food, fast service by friendly staff. The wooden panel Japanese style makes you feel like you are dining in Japan. Don't let the gym entrance fool you this place is definitely a gem. The menu has all the rice bentos and ramen noodles you would expect. Decent selection of alcohol to try out. I will be coming back for sure. Returned back in 2022 and the service is still excellent and the food tasting great.
Interior design of this joint was great. Great use of small space. Coming here gave me flashbacks of how it felt eating at restaurants in Japan. I ate the Salmon Tuna Don, which tasted good. However was not particularly special. Would consider coming back again for the atmosphere and to try other dishes.
Authentic Japanese resto with very delicious food!!! The sashimi & carpaccio are very fresh. I also love their fried oysters, udon, grilled wagyu & teriyaki salmon. I eat at the resto with my family almost every week since my first visit. Wish we live closer!
some dishes were quite reasonably priced, tasty and good quality Eg salmon & tuna don and kingfish carpaccio. However their sashimi dishes were very limited not many fish variety and seems very overpriced by comparison. Their ramen we had the karaage chicken one was also pretty so-so nothing special soy broth and noodles were over cooked. Tempura batter was too thick and not crispy enough…Not too sure why it has such high reviews overall when the dishes were a bit varied and some not great value at all… it’s still a good place overall but not amazing.
We had dinner at Takumi. The restaurant is tucked a bit hidden not exactly at Harris Street. It’s next or behind snap fitness. We walked passing it and had to walked back. It’s worth. The food was tasty and made me missing Japan. I loved the Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was milky taste, mild and not your usual Tonkotsu broth. The noodle was smooth. It was so tasty, I liked it very much. The kingfish carpaccio was fresh and a good combination with the seaweed salad. I wasn’t sure how many people in the kitchen. I saw one only. The servers were only two. Not many staffs but we didn’t wait long to be served and food came out fast. It’s very much a Japanese efficiency. Food order by scanning the QR code and select from the menu. I’d def come back to try more.
Such a cute restaurant and so glad we popped in. We ordered a few starters to share and we were not disappointed. The tempura prawns were delicious along with the veggie dumplings! Food came out very quickly, it was super easy to order on their website also.
No nonsense hole in the wall Japanese. Simple. Good service. Eat here. Karage curry excellent. Seaweed salad nice with a delicious hint of sesame. Tempura prawn ok...good value.Food: 4/5
Little neighbourhood Japanese restaurants with a wide variety of selections. Freshly made sushi and sashimi are good refreshing starter. Pumpkin croquettes are very delicately fried, crispy and sweet. Agedashi tofu you gotta eat it when it’s just out, very tender. The grilled dishes: okonomiyaki and takoyaki are not too standout although the grilled eel is very worth trying as it’s very delicate and the slightly charred taste add nice layer of the flavour. The desserts are very light and authentic, good option to finish up your meal.
