They've dropped their price. Most lunch meals are around $13.8. Remember when we came here late last year prices were raised to around $16. The foods quality is still very good and consistent. I always order the clear base noodle soup because I like the sweet pickled vegetables which make the soup very delicious to have. Their chicken popcorn is very nice too. I prefer Hot Star Large fried chicken than theirs as it lacks pinch of spices taste to it.
They make the best Taiwanese taro pastry and homemade dumplings in Melbourne. Recommend follow their facebook group so you can get notifications when they are selling frozen dumplings or something special.
STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED.ni felt the food was okayjust to be polite until I tasted the noodle in the red bowlforgot the name . I've only tried a few bites then I couldn't finish it. I don't waste food but this one really made me lost my appetite. The noodle is too soft, like something rotten in my mouth, the meatdon't know what is it made of taste like mixed powder and I only taste some cheap vinegar in the soup.nStaff are friendly BTW.
Having the dinner in here today, food was not bad but the food almost killed me, I spent $22.70 and ate a small plastic, lucky it’s a bit sharp and I still alive. I was thinking it’s a broken container and spoken to staff about this issues, he just saying sorry didn’t do anything for me, very upset with their service, other issues is the environment a bit gross, flies everywhere and the bench which I seat so sticky, and just seen the drinking glass not cleaned . A restaurant should performance a good food hygiene and safety.
Cosy authentic Taiwanese diner. We had the spicy beef noodles and it was served hot, lovely on a cold Melbourne day. They also sell cake rolls with assorted flavors, Matcha red bean, Chocolate, Taro yam, Coffee, Swiss, Pandan, Sesame and Almond slices, shortbread and coconut balls. We took away the Popcorn Chicken which the kids love.
