Will miss TAFE Southbank! Learned alot. Even exhausting on attending face to face classes. But the environment are refreshing. Hoping that they would produce budget meal for students
I am currently studying the Diploma of Nursing full time and have already paid approximately $16,000 as I am not on a fee-free arrangement.nnDuring Stage 1, I failed one unit due to being unable to amend a single question in a written assignment. There was no issue with placement, practical skills, or overall competency — just one question in a written task.nnFollowing TAFE’s policies, I re-enrolled in the unit during Stage 2 so I could resubmit the assignment with that one correction. I am not accessing learning materials, not attending classes, not using lab facilities, and not undertaking placement again. I am simply resubmitting the same assessment with one amended response.nnDespite this, I have now been told I must pay an additional $660 to re-enrol in this unit. This fee originally covered placement assessments and practical lab components, none of which I will be accessing a second time.nnIt feels extremely unfair to charge students additional fees in circumstances like this, particularly after already paying significant course costs. What makes this even more frustrating is hearing that fee-free students have reportedly been able to re-enrol in units without paying again.nnThere seems to be inconsistency in how policies are applied, and the approach to deadlines and enforcement often feels rigid and unsupportive rather than educational.nnI believe students who are simply correcting a minor assessment component should not be charged full re-enrolment fees when they are not re-using facilities or resources.
I highly recommend this English course for those who want to prepare for the IELTS exam. First of all, a level determination test is performed to classify correctly. The number of students in the classes is at an ideal level. Work is done once a week in the computer rooms. The exam is held every two weeks, just like the real IELTS exam. Lessons are held for four hours every weekday. It has a large campus and many people work in this institution. In addition to English, there are also many certificate programs. There is a prayer room near conference room entry from outside and the library is very cutennBETH is one of the best English teachers I have ever met. She cares about all the students, remembers their names, and always keeps the lesson lively. She is knowledgeable about many different subjects. She helps us focus our attention with interesting topics when we get bored. Our other teacher, Marjorie, is a good local teacher who is very kind, punctual and a wonderful person. A teacher named Fatima also took our class once, and I want mention her too. Even though she was not a native, her English and teaching skills were very good. Additionally, I would like to thank all the Tafe employees who helped us with whatever we needed.nnDear candidate student, you need well-educated teachers. That is why you should be here.
I currently go to TAFE Southbank and i can proudly say i am enjoying it so far.nthe only upside down is that it is a very big campus and for people who have disabilities and cant walk a long distance is a very huge problem.nnoverall the teacher i have for my cert 3 health services is amazing and she does very well at helping us understand the question if we don't know how to answer properly.nnHonorable Mention: very close to a lot of food places, bus stations, train stations and on the plus side it is close to the Southbank pools so you can go for a dip in the poll straight after you finish your classes.
I enjoyed every visit to these places, and I recommend visiting and enjoying them.
