I love going up the eye, it's a great experience for all ages with 360° views of Sydney. If you're a local like me, it's a great place to take visiting friends/family, & if you're a visitor, it's a must do, in my book. There is also viewing binoculars, a great photobooth, a great gift shop & refreshments kiosk. There are also no obligation photos available to buy of your experience at the end. I think it's value for money, I would definitely go again
Got to enter during the morning, when there were only a few people, so I got to enjoy my time with less crowds up the viewing deck. As for the experience itself, it was wonderful to see most of Sydney from a birds-eye view, as I got to see a lot of the sights from above, like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and even far out like the airport and other notable neighborhoods.nnThere wasn’t much to do up, though. It’s mostly for viewing the city and neighboring skylines. They had a cafe and souvenir shop but I didn’t peruse as much.nnEither way it’s a great perspective to see the city from a different perspective. I’d go back again if not for my acrophobia.
Mind blowing views of Sydney from the top! Worth buying tickets. Recommend buying them in advance, as it's a really popular place. The elevators are so fast, that they make you feel you're in an airplane! So fast!
The Sydney Tower Eye was an ok experience. The observation deck takes about 30 minutes with 360 degree views over Sydney.nnThe elevator up was rather small, a bit too hot and crowded and loaded to the point that the weight alarm went off.nnThe view at the top is nice, a 360 view over Sydney, however the main attractions such as the Opera House and Harbor Bridge are partialy blocked due due to other buildings.nnThe bar at the 83rd floor is not accessible from the observaties deck. In order to get a drink at the, you'll need to take the elevator all the way down and get on another elevator to go back up. At check-in we were told that the minimum order to be able in to have access to the bar was $90 so skipped bar 83.nnTip for the ground floor level when outside tempatures approach 40 degrees: turn on the air conditioning while waiting in line as it was hot and humid during the 25 minute wait. Tickets are checked just before getting on the elevator. If you have tickets for a certain timeslot, get in line right away as there is some waiting time before you get to the elevators.
I recently visited the Sydney Eye Tower and was quite disappointed with my experience. While the views from the observation deck were okay, they certainly didn’t live up to the hype. What really stood out, unfortunately, was the state of the toilet on the observation deck. It was incredibly unhygienic, with dirty floors and unpleasant odours, which was a huge letdown considering the price of entry. For such a prominent tourist attraction, I expected much better cleanliness and maintenance.
