Went in today at there Malaga branch asked old mate behind the counter about a click & collectnHe replied nah to busy wait till someone else comes . Freaking cheek of the bloke. No acknowledgement just to arrogant for his own self. Mate your a check out girl who’s not even on 60k a year . Lucky I didn’t call him out on his behaviour because I was in the mood. These lil 25yr olds need a reality check
The lack of customer service and poor attitude at this branch is astonishing.nAfter sales service is non existent. Requested multiple call backs that never came and a warranty claim refused after 2 weeks use of an item.nnI will never use Sydney tools again due to the poor service from sales staff, management and the repair centre.
Back in July 2025, I purchased a “new” Bosch Heated Jacket from Sydney Tools Malaga, expecting it to work properly. To my surprise, the holster that holds the battery had rusted/corroded terminals, preventing it from functioning.nnI returned the next day and explained the issue, requesting a replacement. I was told it would arrive within a couple of weeks. When I followed up, I was told it was still on the way. After waiting further, I was then told that no replacement was coming and that “nothing could be done.”nnAt that point, I requested a refund, which was refused. Under Australian Consumer Law, I believe I am entitled to a refund for a major fault.nnFor comparison, I later went to their competitor next door Total Tools for the same product and the matter was resolved within two weeks.nnI have since lodged a formal complaint with Consumer Protection, and the matter is now awaiting conciliation. I am disappointed in the lack of service and cooperation shown, and I hope Sydney Tools improves their approach to consumer care.
We recently purchased some tools from Sydney Tools, and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Al, the sales consultant, was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional from the moment we walked in. He took the time to understand what we needed and made sure we found the right products without any pressure.nnHis friendly and honest approach made the whole process easy and enjoyable. You can really tell he cares about customer satisfaction. Thanks again, Al — we’ll definitely be coming back!
This is NOT store specific! As a whole Sydney Tools franchise should be boycotted, their exchange policy is absolutely appalling. It is not customer friendly at all! Considering how expensive tools can cost, if someone would like to exchange an unused tool for something VERY similar then they should be allowed to, especially if it’s within 14days of purchase. I will not be buying tools from them and I will also not be recommending them to anyone!
