Absolute disrespectful behaviour of this store. When you place an online order with Sydney Tools, these guys pickup as they can fulfil, but never does that on time. This time it took over three months, and still struggling to refund my money, as they have the "management approval" to go through. Never recommend this store or any now have doubts of Sydney Tools overall too. Many other better places like Total tools, C&L etc etc. Steer clear of this chain.
Terrible online experience - over 3 weeks to dispatch orders. I have used Sydney Tools in-store and found them quite good. I decided to order online as I did not need the item in a hurry and the advised 4-10 business day delivery was acceptable to me. I ordered 18 business days ago and my order still has not been dispatched. Communication from Sydney Tools is insufficient for online orders. I had to contact Sydney Tools three times about my order so far. I might get my order one month after placing the order for in-stock consumable items. I had to purchase these items from a competitor in the interim and I am almost out of my second lot before Sydney Tools 10km away can get these items to me.
After 10 years, I made my last purchase from Sydney tools. The online department are beyond useless. Think first year apprentice trying to use a drill useless... it's all fun and games until it jams and they him them self in the face. After making a purchase online and checking how long it would take for a delivery 8-14days I waiting a week and had still not received a tracking email, so I called up one of the stores that usually helps me out. The guy there was super helpful informed me that there was no way no how I'm getting this item any time soon and even tracked down the supplier who confirmed the next shipment wouldn't be till the end of February. I then call the first year customer services up explaining the job I need this for would be over before it arrives and if I had known it would take that long I wouldn't have purchased it. First year replied with as they was a special order, there's nothing they can do. I call back after reading up on the consumer rights, and quoted " Accepting payment without intending to supply The business may have promised a product or service that they knew they couldn’t supply or didn’t intend to supply. Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses must not accept payment for products or services if: they don’t intend to supply the product or service they intend to supply different products or services from those promised they know, or should know, that they won’t be able to supply the products or services by the promised date, or within a reasonable time. The first year doesn't know what to do so she transfers me to a very annoyed 2nd year. Who says they have 14 days to come up with a product before anything has to be done, I explain there's none in the country and I'm not getting it in 14 days can I just have a refund. The answer was no. They will need to verify with the supplier them selves, I get a email back saying no to the refund Blatantly flouting consumer rights aside, Someone a little more switched on would just refund the $275 and keep the customer happy and spending, instead im going to go out of my way to never shop there again. Online staff are Absolutely useless.
Completed a large corporate order with Mansour Fakhry who is an absolute pleasure to deal with, his customer service is second to none and super quick on communication and any queries I had. Thank you Mansour - you're an asset to Sydney Tools team!
Won't let you cancel a order 2 hours later instead they send it in dribs and drabs, has had over 8k worth of Tooling for o er 2 weeks and still has refunded me or do I have my full order
I dealt with Denis was an absolute champion with great service and great deals deffinetly would be asking for him next time I'm in store
Appalling service. Went to Sydney Tools because they were local to buy a compressor. After researching the number of types and comparing prices, I decided to try them to support my local community. Firstly there were 2 compressors with similar specifications, 1 was $650 the other $1100. When asked what was the difference, I was told the more expensive was”shit”. I purchased the cheaper one as I was using it for DIY use only. From that point on it was nothing but trouble. 1. Compressor would not shut off when the tank was full 2. The regulator would not adjust 3. The machine must have been used as a demo because when I drain the tank, it blows out rusted water. After taking it back for warranty 4 times, I was told that I would have to pay even tho it was still within the 1 yr warranty. In total, it spent around 30 week’s getting repaired as each time was a minimum of 6weeks and when it was finally repaired, they couldn’t even call me to let me know it was ready. They guy even joked that it’s been sitting around. I will never go back to them again… there were some helpful staff but I think their general customer service and business ethic is terrible . I now go to Total Tools in Bankstown and have been happy with every transaction and service received.
Visited this store a few times now. I have to say every time I have come in I have been met with a person that is willing to help sincerely without digging in your pocket And today I had Mansour serving me very good product knowledge, helpful, Respectful and Patient with all my questions. I will definitely be back to this store.
Have been dealing with Jason, he’s a very professional member of the Sydney tools team, excellent customer service skills and willing to go that extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Haven’t seen this type of customer service in a long time. Very happy to be a customer of Sydney tools, unfortunately Bunnings hasn’t shown me any good service, now I prefer to do all of my shopping directly with Sydney tools. Thank you.
Great team at Sydney Tools Riverwood. Friendly, helpful, genuine and a pleasure to deal with. Thankyou Dennis for assisting with my Makita combo toolkit and bonus blower, you are a legend. Definitely my first port of call for all my tool needs from here. Highly recommended.
