Never buy from Sydney Tools for expensive tools. I spent over $1200 to get the core drill and broken at the second hole within a month. They can only repair and I wait for over a month and still didn't get my tool back. Call to the shop they just said I have to wait and wait. I have to call the sydney tools repair centre to chase up my tool by myself and no one answer. After a few call and waste me hour and hour, the call connected and the technical ask me to wait won't be long, wait for another half an hour listening music from the repair centre. They gonna charge me another $300 or more for the repairthey use the second hand parts to fix and they still need to wait for the order from somewhere else. What's the point of 1 year warranty? They don't refund, only repair. Never never buy anything from Sydney Tools!
Was very impressed with Jonathan's exceptional customer service & knowledge, I had an issue with my Milwaukee tool bag and went to another store, they didn't bother looking into it and said it's not under warranty, I didn't believe them so I spoke to Jonathan at Taren Point he seemed to have a much better understanding & went back and forth with Milwaukee & eventually got it sorted! I sent my old bag back in & got a new upgraded bag for no additional cost. Thanks to Jonathans help this store will be my automatic choice in future.
They are happy to take your money, but when they stuff up, good luck getting a refund.
I don't normally write reviews but hardly a pleasant experience Have items advertised tools online and specially going out your way to pick it up and when it is not available you receive a "well tough" response and not even the offer to order it in. Some of the guys there need a bit more training in dealing with customers I have bought tools from the Silverwater store fantastic experience. Next time it will be Silverwater or Total Tools up the road After reading some of the other low rating reviews it make sense most of them are poor customer service.
I've never dealt with a more uncoordinated store team before. I purchased two items early December. One was in stock and the other had a one week stock estimate given by a sales team member. It then escalated to 2 weeks, then 3, and finally arrived 5-6 weeks later. Then, before I went to pick it up, I called Sydney Tools Taren Point and asked a service member if I could get a warranty extension on the first item because I hadn't opened it yet. He said that he could do a reinvoice and I didn't need to bring it in to get an extension. I went to go pick up the second item and the sales team refused to do a reinvoice. Not impressed. Edit reply: What you said was completely different from what I heard on the phone. This is what I'm annoyed about. Furthermore, Ego does not look at the dispatch date, but rather the invoice date to determine a valid warranty claim.
All in 1 Tool shop. They have got a wide range of tools & power tools from different brands.
Price match policy is a joke! Needed a brad nailer so googled to check prices and found another store in QLD selling 10% cheaper with free delivery. Since I needed it urgently I went to get a price match. To my surprise, it was refused even though they couldn't show anything in their policy to justify their decision. Excuse given was that it's 'below cost' even though it's just 10% off RRP. Have logged a complaint so awaiting a response.
My partner and I came in looking for a good Milwaukee kit. Adam went above and beyond to make us happy with everything that was suitable and relevant to my boyfriend and his work. I bought a water blaster last Christmas early December. I ordered it online, they took too long to despatch it so I picked it up at Taren Point to clean up around the house before Christmas.. We used it once. We got it out a couple of weeks ago to cleanup again and the thing didn't work. We took it to Taren point and have been told it won't be back for another two weeks or more so I can't clean up for Christmas. It sat at Taren Point waiting to be picked up to take to their Roselands service place for over a week. So beware it takes a month to get anything repaired. Just useless.
I recently made another couple of purchases from Sydney Tools and I was impressed as usual with the great range and competitive pricing. Matt was very helpful with good advice and excellent communication. He responded to all my inquiries promptly and professionally, and I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Sydney Tools to anyone looking for good quality tools at great prices.
