Large, beautiful and efficient airport. Tens of thousands of people go through the airport everyday but they are processed quickly. The new electronic system for immigration has helped the queues to reduce drastically. Security staff are friendly (unlike in Brisbane). Overall a pleasurable stay when travelling in and out.

Sydney airport seems to always be under construction. Cannot wait for this place to finish so. It is very easy to get lost in this place and the terminals are spread apart. This place desperately needs better food collection as choices are limited and the price of the food is rather high when compared to all other places. Cost of electronic goods seems to be the same as any other electronic store, if not more. I would highly suggest to eat before going through the customs as once you are in duty-free area your options are very limited.

Sydney immigration ministry and airport management can definitely do a better job in Sydney airport. 

For example: 
- the declare/ nothing to declare doors, they're confusing with multiple small gates and awkward queues. 
- Upon arrival, I have to have the arrival card, and the e-passport ticket and the passport in my hand. If I lose any of them, it's a big issue of course. I've been to over 10 airports around the world, and none makes it this difficult to an arriving passenger. Who decided it's a nice idea to throw more paper work at passengers who were likely in long-haul flights? Could you for example use the arrival card as the e-passport ticket? perhaps by bar-code on the card or something similar?

In addition to this, unlike the people of Australia, immigration officers and security staff are generally rude. If I didn't live here, I'd have a pretty ugly image about the country dealing with airport staff. We should have more feedback kiosk for passengers to share their experiences, to make sure staff do not use the airport security excuse to be rude with passengers.

I am Australian and I'm sure we could do better.

A very busy international terminal. Allow plenty of time. If you are traveling business class you will breeze through. Finding airline area can be a little rough but after that, easy. Plenty of duty free shipping with some prices good but others same as in US. Beware of currency exchange rates for instance Global charges more than 50% to go from New Zealand to US currency. Plenty of places to eat. Gatea.are nice and large. Overall a clean busy airport. About 30 min by can from city center at 8:30.am

Great shopping when you finally get in, easy to get around and locate yourself. 

I would like to see better restaurants and lounge bars.
