It's really a shame what has become of this place. I can easily recall all the times I used to come here when I was younger. There was a beautiful plane spotting area in front of the runway, next to the golf course. I remember picking up some food with my family from the local Hungry Jacks and moving inward, dining, and watching the planes.

Now I can't blame authorities for their actions, as long as they're justified and for the right reason, but it was really saddening to find out that suddenly, the viewing spots around the venue have closed and there's nowhere left to watch aircraft take off and land.

There is one place that is near the start of the runway that we use as a makeshift viewing spot but it still lacks the charm the old one does. To say the least, this place has gone to sh**

No cross strip, (aircraft)parking can be difficult, fuel tankers have either been slow(>30min wait time) or knock off early from personal experience, terminal lacking any personality what so ever and airport is quite hard to get to(no trains or freeways nearby). Lives up to Sydney's reputation nicely.

This was so much fun! The staff and our pilot were lovely, right from the minute we arrived and the experience itself was incredible! I would recommend to everyone! The only thing I would change is that I would pay a little bit more and do the longer flight to Palm Beach! :0)
