Sushi e is my all time favourite place. The food is so good, the freshness, the taste, I love that there are unique table and chairs really nice for the photos as well. I'll definitely come back.
Me and my partner had a lovely experience dining a la carte for 2. The ambiance gives the space a modern vibe of fast casual dining with an exciting feel. We went a little extravagant, also ordering a piece of uni and Wagyu & caviar nigiri each, in addition to the photos below. Whilst all the food was great on it's own, I felt like the menu switched readily between traditional Japanese and modern fusion. In particular, the soba + crab dish and the stuffed-and-fried chicken wing threw me off of the meal a little. They were quite greasy comfort foods, served without any palette cleanser. My only other nitpicky complaint was that the Ponzu oyster was quite salty. Given the chance, next time I may stick to a shallot vinaigrette or something. The bill came out to 250 for the both of us. Quite expensive considering we only got tea for drinks, though we did indulge in the specials. We were, however, charged approx. $2.60 credit card fee when we used a Merivale gift card to pay the full exact amount, which I felt was quite weird. All up, it was a good experience. Perhaps not worth the price, but the fish was fresh and each dish was delicious.
Amazing dining experience, really nice service and atmosphere. Would've loved to try the Omakase but it wasn't available Monday night. We still got to sit at the bar behind the chefs and see them make the dishes and admire the technique. The tuna carpaccio and beef tartare were absolute standouts. I'd skip the hand roll next time but definitely pick a few of the nigiri pieces. The free dessert at the end is a nice touch too.
Probably one of the best sushi restaurants in Sydney. Customers are sitting right in front of the sushi bar and will be able to observe all the sushi making from start to finish. Front of house staff are also very polite and the service was excellent. At the end of your meal every customer is entitled to a complimentary Panna Cotta as well. Highly recommended
Really love how small but accessible this place is, although it isn't as intimate as some other places you're likely to get a booking here seated at the counter watching the action happen. The chefs are all masters at what they do, just watching them with precision focus on slicing paper thin slices amazes me. The food was perfect, I expected high quality but this surpassed expectations. You must order the tuna carpaccio, I loved the crispy touch of challot and chilli. Overall Sushi E are providing arguebly the best Sushi experience in Sydney that is actually accessible unlike some other spots which play some ridiculous booking system involving sending an SMS to a phone number at the strike of midnight and then hoping all the stars align... and is a MUST go if you have the opportunity.
Amazing fresh sushi quality and attentive service by the host and various servers. Enjoyed the tuna carpaccio and a variety of nigiri pieces including a5 wagyu with caviar, salmon, snapper, horse mackerel. Had a nice glass of Chablis wine to pair. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending to friends and family, check it out!
We came here on a Friday night, thought it was omakase but we checked and they only do that Tuesday to Thursday : but a la carte was super good nonetheless. We tried their three types of oysters, chef selection sashimi plate, dynamite roll, raw kingfish dish, a handful of nigiris and their special menu wagyu skewers. Quality was super, everything so delicious and I kept moaning after every bite looool to finish off, we had the passionfruit cheesecake and my goodness me... best dessert ever.... wow seriously, if they have that for a dessert option when you go, seriously get it. You won't regret!!! Everything was so well balanced - flavours, textures, everything!! So refreshing and delicious service was excellent definitely worth a try!!
It’s a gem hidden in the heart of CBD. We were served by chef Misuch he made every single dish to be perfect with surprising! Limited seats , luckily we got the booking for our special event.
Came here for my 6th year wedding anniversary. Service was lovely however very disappointed with the food. Sushi was nice however the 9+ wagyu at $105 was terribly over cooked. Firstly i was told be the waiter that this is medium rare we can get the chefs to cook it rare if you like?... it was definitely not meduim rare . The next excuse used was, because it was cooked over charcoal this is how it is. Having experience myself as a chef with over 20 years experience and cooking over coals, clearly the coals were not hot enough and the lack of colour on the outside of the steak and the inside being near medium well indicated that this was the case. To top it off I watched as the leftover sushi rice was wrapped up in clingwrap and put away to use for the next day.
I had an absolutely delightful experience at Sushi e. The Wagyu Uramaki was nothing short of amazing - it was so tender and flavorful. The No.1 non-alcoholic cocktail was the perfect accompaniment to my meal - it was refreshingly delicious! The vibe at Sushi e was simply amazing - the ambiance was great and it was the perfect place to catch up with friends.
