Went for lunch one day, beautiful service, awesome serving sizes and well priced!! Parmi was massive- photo angle doesn't do it justice!!
My colleague and I had a late lunch at the bistro last Thursday. All I can say is wow! Cool atmosphere, great food but we were blown away with the service we received from lovely Ella. She was beyond accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We will be back to have work lunches here again! Thanks so much Ella!
Following was my review, however whilst still at the venue the manageress who knew nothing of our delemma asked how our meals were. She listened, didnt fob us off and was very helpful, she agreeed and recognised our issues, they are being address, one can not expect better, so we thank her, and will return. Original post "We're weekly regular dinners until now, new menu which the staff had no idea what the meals were like, sadly when reported the sauce was closer to wasabi, chicken for those who tried to eat it had clumps of flour in it..... Four of us dinned together and formed the same opinion, prices up meal quality down. Don't ask the staff they couldn't care less. Food left on every plate, disapointing."
Room was very clean with comfortable beds and soft towels. Had dinner in the Bistro. Brandon was an excellent host making sure the meal was to my liking, offering me a huge glass of water when seeing I was hot. I will definitely be back to eat and stay. Friendly staff and GREAT service.
Took the family to the Sundowner for dinner tonight. Nice and close to home and the food is good. Only problem being the mixed grill that I ate here 2 weeks ago was awesome. Tonight the food looked like it had been thrown onto the plate without too much interest in the presentation. Guys, soggy chips that you have to dig out from underneath the meats are not very appetising. I hope it is better next time.
Amazing Dining Experience last night. The Service was outstanding from Brandon. Was also very pleased with the effort Brandon and the chefs went to, to alter my meal to suit my dairy allergy which was delicious. Went above and beyond, will definitely be returning. The revamp is very nice as well.
The Sundowner has been a lively venue for many years in the local Caboolture area. I played in bands there during the 90's & early 2000's, so it goes back a long way & has seen many changes! We recently booked the sports bar out for my dad's 75th birthday & had 4 live bands to rock the night, with about 80 guests. And unlike other venues in the area, there is NO expensive booking fee!! Wendy, Katie & the other fantastic staff made everything so easy & smooth! Delicious food platters available for catering, everyone had a great night & many people had booked out rooms in the motel, which they found very convenient, after multiple trips to the bar! Highly recommended!
Very impressed with the venue’s atmosphere, size of televisions, promptness of food, quality of gaming area and provision of car parking. Certainly no longer representative of the ‘Caboolture’ stigma anymore. Family friendly atmosphere, would recommend stopping in for dinner.
Hands down the best pub feed I have had in a long time! Food was absolutely delicious and the Mac n Cheese Parmi especially was fantastic! Will definitely return. Great work
I come here quite often and it has to be one of the best chicken parmi I've had. The guy chef really knows what he is doing and is very consistent with the quality of food.
