Pleasantly surprised! I travel a lot for work and stayed here for 3/4 nights a week over 3 weeks In a different room each week. It ticked all my boxes - Easy parking / Comfy bed / strong water pressure / well stocked kitchenette and friendly staff. A bonus was the neighbouring pub which was not only a great venue, but each room had a QR code, essentially making my room a table which can order room service packaged and delivered at no extra charge. Have already recommended to others.
Completely unacceptable experience due to management failure.nnI stayed over Christmas 24–26 Dec. On the second night, my room key stopped working, forcing me to leave Christmas dinner early and rush back by 8:30pm so a cleaner could let me in. After that, I was effectively trapped in the room, missed the rest of Christmas with my family, and spent the night alone.nnThere was no emergency or after-hours contact, despite spending around 40 minutes trying to reach staff. Management later blamed it on Christmas being a public holiday — not acceptable for a hotel. I later fpund out the cleaner contacyed the manager and she didn't come back to rectify the issue, she probably didn't want to ruin her christmas by spending an hour of her time off to prevent completely ruining my christmas.nnI was told twice that a refund would be processed. The second time was confirmed in writing by email, yet nothing happened. After more than 11 days, I had to threaten escalation to the ombudsman just to get a response and a refund — and even then, only one night was refunded, completely ignoring the $130+ in fuel and the hours of driving for the soul purpose of spending christmas with family. No apology, no accountability.nnI was lied to, ignored, disrespected, and treated unprofessionally. To top ot all off, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine making it hard to sleep and the food was not acceptable for the price.nSerious management issues here. Avoid if you expect basic service, honesty, or respect.
Hubby and I have begun choosing Morayfield tavern as our treat night out over the past 12 months and tonight didnt disappoint. Shout out to the lovely Gemma who greated and seated us and Tyla who served us at the bar. Would love to name others but unfortunately they weren't wearing name badges. Biggest shout out to the chief and kitchen staff for the delicious meal.
Rooms are good. Don’t order food. Got a mixed grill for $55 absolutely terrible. Not sure how they could manage to turn it out the way they did. Good to stay eat else where.
Table service via the QR code was excellent. We didn't need to stop the flow of the convo and get out of our seats all night. Food AND drinks were brought to our table promptly.
