We arrived in the bar area to find some rowdy patrons, so we moved straight into the dining area. The obnoxious one was being asked to leave as we went.nThe food was good. We all enjoyed our meals. I ordered with the qr code at the table, and it worked well. Food came out within about 30 mins.nThere was pasture fed steak on the menu, which was a nice change, as I don't knowingly eat grain fed steak. It was very busy on a Sunday night and I'm glad I had booked a table. The staff were all very friendly. There was a soundproof kids area. I could see screaming kids playing but could not hear them, which was nice.nThe tables were also spaced out more than usual, which meant I could easily talk to others at my table with ease.nI'd go back if in the area.
I am rating this place one star or less because honest I could have gotten better food at McDonald's, the staff were friendly enough in a very down to earth way which was fine for a pub but the brownie was soft like cake instead of slightly hard on the outside the chicken was undercooked on my burger and tasted funny with the bun and the gnocchi was more like cheesy slop. No offence to the staff they seem to work hard and fast but having said that it was still a while before I got my meal and it wasn't worthy of good pub food.
We found the club tavern a very great place for dinner with the kids and family as they have a kids' play area to keep our little one entertained.nWe ordered our meals, and they were brought out reasonably quickly. The meals were large, and you definitely get what you paid for. I highly recommend the King avocado chicken schnitzel!! It was very delicious and filling.nOur waitress Hannah was very friendly and efficient, and she did a great job
