Story

Suk Jai Thai Restaurant is the only Thai restaurant in Whangarei which has received the prestigious "Thai Select" Award from the Thai Prime Minister in March 2013.

Thai Select is an award to certify and recognise Thai restaurants outside Thailand which serve authentic Thai cuisine of the highest standard. We are proud to be one of the few Thai restaurants which are deemed worthy of this award.

We are the Thai restaurant which received the highest rating among all Thai restaurants in Whangarei on www.tripadvisor.com (as at June 2014 we are the #1 best Asian restaurant, #1 best Thai restaurant, and #2 best restaurant in Whangarei).

New to the area and it was our first time trying Suk Jai. Omg!! We haven't had Thai this good in so long and we've tried so many places in Auckland. Friendly and quick service, beautiful atmosphere but the food was absolutely fresh and outstanding. Recommend booking we didn't but will know for next time. Thanks team :-

OMG, it was packed when we arrived for our 7pm table reservation, but by 8 we were all alone! It was a Thursday night.nRegardless of how busy the restaurant was, we were served by very friendly staff, and the food was really tasty.nThe restaurant had a good vibe and a good reputation.....I can understand why.

What a wonderful experience. The service was amazing, calm, friendly, positive, professional and fast. The food and delivery was divine also. We had a mango smoothie and a strawberry smoothie but delicious and also entrees, Chicken Pad Thai and the Sizzling plate. Book in early because it was packed and busy all the time. We will definitely be back! A+

Lovely family dine in experience. Family group of 10. Service was very good. Food was very tasty and well priced. Food was prepared and served quickly. Our whole group enjoyed our meals.
