If I could give a minus score I would. Terrible quality.nnIssue 1. Portion size. I leave images for readers to judge if this is 2 portions of original chicken. The tiny wing being generous would be 0.25 of a portion but still at premium price. The staff knew this when boxing but dont care so assuming the supervisor doesnt care so why are they even there. This was 7:30 on Thur 25th June.nnIssue 2 is a common complaint of this store. The batter for original chicken is now thin and soggy and resembles a dusting not the traditional batter. Am assuming they are skipping the wetwash thet allowes the batter to stick which could be for cost savings on staff as more labour intensive or ingredients for food cost. Clearly owner doesnt care as this is a very common complaint of the Bank st branch seen in may reviews yet still nothing done. Maybe if Popeye or a competitor opened they would revert to original.nNB the spicy chicken which is prepared a different manner is still exactly to the original as the wash is not needed as part of prepnnBuy spicy and stay away from original chicken and also check portion size before leaving store. Or look at a alternate takeaway option.
Can’t remember the last time I ate such a horrible food! My first time eating at KFC, though. The fries very absolutely oversalted and I like salty food!. The coleslaw portion for $4.70 was ridiculous small. The potatoe mash bland and drowned in not really tasty gravy. The bread rolls were ok. The spicy chicken burger was really spicy but good. The chicken katsu bowl was ok but the rice so cold and clumping together that I was wondering how long it was sitting for and if I get possibly sick from it? Absolutely overpriced but the service was fast. Do NOT recommend!
Had the pleasure to buy from KFC Whangarei for the first and last time . Person on the drive through was hard to understand due to her heavy Indian accent / I brought 2x lunch boxes cost 9.99 each a $20.00 spend / what a disappointment should have gone somewhere else to get lunch / got 2 Luke warm mini drum sticks that when cold and very baked hard batter that was foul in taste. The drums would not measured 50m in length each. There was a box of old stale chips must have been well over 30 minutes old were cold and soggy and well over salted, also 1/2 a box of KFC Tissues. I remember the days when KFC lunch box was a real meal good size chicken a bun, nice hot chips and just salted the batter was nice and tasty the grease ran down your arms and dripped off and you had choice of potato and gravy or coleslaw . Not the rubbish they serve now . KFC Whangarei you need to buck up your ideas on food quality / make sure the food is cooked right and is served fresh and hot . Not food that's been sitting around under heat lamps that don't work for hours before been sold/
I got the meal for2. The large gravy with absolutely no potato and only 2 hot n spicy wings. The 4 other pieces of chicken were not even in the box. Waste my time and money.
Staff don't listen to what you want, arrived home and realised our order was incorrect. Our bucket had many pieces that were tiny like nibbles. Chicken was old and dry and tasted pretty weird too. Sooo much oil in the bottom of the bucket - gross! Poor quality even for a kfc.
