It’s okay. Be prepared to have your sandwich hastily put together if you ever visit during a peak period. Quality control doesn’t seem to be high on the agenda here.

My 16 year old son was informed of an employment opportunity with Subway at the Franchise located at 1760 Gympie Road, Carseldine (in the home maker centre near Bunnings). My son contacted the owner of the franchise, Cheyton, who requested that my son attend the Carseldine Subway for a interview. On Saturday the 28th of November my son attended this interview and later informed me that the interview went well and that Cheyton informed him that he would email a web link so that my son could complete some online training that was required prior to starting work at the store. My son stated that Cheyton would send the link straight away. At this point he was lead to believe that he had been successful in the interview process and had actually obtained employment with Subway. The day after the interview my son had not received the link to enable him to complete the online training. My son called Cheyton, who stated that he would send the link later that day. My son still did not receive said link. He again rang and spoke with Cheyton and respectfully requested that the link be sent. Cheyton did not send the link at that time so my son continued his attempts to contact as well as leaving both text and voicemail messages. When Cheyton did respond he continually stated that he would send the link to my son so that he could complete the training package, however he never did. On Sunday the 6th of December 2015 my son again rang Cheyton and once again respectfully requested the link to the Subway training package. To my son's surprise he was told by Cheyton to "stop calling him". Cheyton also stated that he had interviewed other persons for the same position and it seemed unlikely that my son had actually secured employment with Subway, despite his assurances by Cheyton at his initial interview. Cheyton then hung up on my son. I have no issue with the fact that my son was not hired by Subway. What I do object to, though, and find totally abhorrent and disgraceful is the way he's been treated over the last 2 weeks and then the final phone call by this franchisee. If this Cheyton person conducted himself in a manner depicting professionalism and an etiquette upholding of a management position, my son would not have been humiliated and put off by this experience. He was very much looking forward to working at Subway. This type of treatment of young prospective employees by this franchisee is extremely detrimental to the professional standing that the Subway brand is known for (ie. serving a well made high quality product and providing excellent customer service). I would appreciate any feedback in relation to this matter.

Compared to other subway stores this one isn't great for service or quality.

Closed down for ages now and Subway have given no indication when or even whether it will re-open. It seems they are closing down all the cheaper Subway restaurants around Fortitude Valley and keeping only the more expensive ones (yes, the prices do actually differ from restaurant to restaurant). Prior to closer it was a good Subway restaurant, with reasonable pricing and good service as well.
