Since the refurbishment the quality has increased dramatically. Prompt, quick, efficient and friendly staff, super clean store with a clean service area. A vast improvement, will be back again.
I've been coming here regularly for a few years, as its close to my works. But in the recent months I've noticed a dramatic difference in both customer service and food quality with new staff / management. Staff aren't as happy and welcoming, food meat is often cold as the previous staff used to microwave the steak/chicken and toast the bread separately. Now the new staff just throw the cold meat on top of the bread and put it in the bread toaster to save time i am assuming.nI've often had to reheat the chicken when I get back to my work site. If this type of service keeps occurring, you'll have one less frequent customer. I come in 1-2 days per week.nOften I've seen chicken meat be placed on the bench, were the next customers bread will end up too. Staff needs to be trained on cross contamination and food safety.
first of all, no gloves and when i opened my sub it was all apart and ripped apart god knows why. and when they were making it they put like nothing on and the food isnt fresh. wow disappointing
I am absolutely disgusted with the way staff can so bluntly disrespect customers. I had placed an order online when I got to the store it hadn’t been made yet but I politely waited in line told the server my order was the online order she then huffed slammed down the paper and a knife and angrily told another staff member to come and help her. I ordered 2 6inch subs. Once my order was made she gave me my bag saying “here” and walked off. I am appalled by the behaviour of this staff member.
Used to be really good, but my latest sub from them has been made with horribly stale bread. The malted rye is very dry and distinctly unpleasant this time. The beetroot is turning black like it does when it is to old and tastes vile. They're no longer using fresh fillings, there is half a normal serve of cheese. This place has gone downhill fast. The photo is of what was left after I ate the parts that were reasonably fresh.
