Korean BBQ with variations of meat choices. In room dining is pretty big and clean with friendly staff. Meat quality is just average. What you called wagyu would be different from what you got, they gave you random cut beef and over pricey. Udon noodles are packaged overcooked as well. The seafood pancake is what I recommend, Thick with random seafood.
We ordered the premium wagyu beef set B costing $185. The service was friendly, however, not as prompt as would have been desired. The meat served was a generous amount which is always nice. Having ordered the premium set, the expectation was that the meat was going to be of an excellent quality and it simply wasn’t. It was average at best, the sauce options could’ve been improved upon too. It’s a fine KBBQ place, it just wasn’t quite worth the money for the premium wagyu beef set. There are probably better choices in Strathfield for KBBQ. Not the worst but far from anything amazing.
There was a cockroach roaming the table. The waitress was unfazed maybe it’s a common occurrence & simply placed a tissue box on top, leaving it on the table as we ate. They didn’t move us, nor remove the roach—so we dined with it. All prices have increased since the last time I came. The wagyu blade was overpriced at $47. Tasted average, and I spat out a lot of ligaments. I’ve tried more buttery meats @ other kbbqs. There’s a lack of communication, I wouldn’t have ordered a corn cheese dish, if I knew they gave a small complimentary corn dish with every bbq session. How are we meant to know that? Also, they barely put cheese, it tasted more like corn & cream. Don’t get me wrong, the staff are friendly but my experience was still lacking for the price-point. Now the surcharge… it’s quite high for Sundays, I was charged almost $6 on top.
Wagyu plate was not wagyu.. overpriced for what it is. Meat we received was disgusting and when we complained that the wagyu scotch fillet was not wagyu they brought out another random cut of meat.. We complained to the manager who tasted the meat and agreed that it was no good and offered to not charge us our drinks.. not sure why he didn’t refund the food. But still he managed the complaint well hence 2 stars. But if he agreed the meat was gross, how did he continue to serve everyone else? Prob avoid this place there is a reason there’s no line.
We stopped here for a quick BBQ dinner and were very impressed, everything tasted great and the kids enjoyed having a part in the cooking process : Good selection of meat options and sone interesting Korean beers
Great place to eat, lots of fun, very fresh and tasty food. Only complaint is that there's not great customer service plenty of wait staff but they are always busy, the floor staff and maitradee are too busy to be friendly or polite. They're all running around sweating and stressing which is fine because they're busy and the food is great, the food is quite expensive, but it's beautiful and fresh and a great experience. Definitely worth visiting. The marinated pork is perfect.
Used to come here quite a number of times before Covid with friends, and the bbq sets were good value for money. They had tasty sides too. But now the price has gone up significantly, whilst the quality has decreased. Almost $100 for 2 meats and 1 very oily soybean soup. I no longer consider it worthwhile. Wait staff are excellent though
***FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE*** Love KBBQ and definitely their premium wagyu beef is delish! Sides were also tasty. Spacious seating. Staff was kind especially for taking us a photo. Music is too loud. We pressed the “call staff button” few times but no one came. We end up waving our hands. First come first serve basis. Has extra charge if using credit card as payment method.
Excellent place for good service and delicious Korean bbq. Had someone at the front greeting us to come in but wasnt pushy, we were quickly seated and came back promptly to take our order. They then came with a very generous complimentary selection of side dishes, including a melted cheese corn bake. Food in general was fresh, plenty and delicious, and if you get a little lazy or a bit unsure the staff are happy to cook and cut the meat up for you. Theres a couple of these Korean bbq places along the road but i can see the reason why theres always a crowd waiting outside this one to be seated... because it's so good! Highly recommend and will come back to this one for my Korean fix!
Delicious food with heaps of options. Service is great. There's always someone on hand to make sure everything is fine on your table. And the amount of side dishes they give you! Better than any Korean restaurants we've been to in Melbourne.
